About this listen

The sea war rages up and down the Sword Coast, leaving the busy harbor of Baldur's Gate in flames. Following his mad quest, the evil Iakhovas has found a gateway into the protected waters of the Sea of Fallen Stars, and now no coast is safe from his marauding armies of the deep.

While the book itself was acceptable this particular volume suffers from a number of editing fumbles, with parts of the audio getting spliced in where they don't belong and jarring to the listener. The narrator gave a good performance but suffered from widely varying volume in his narration, forcing me to constantly adjust volume to compensate.

Poor editing

I remember really enjoying the first book. tis one was okay. I think Lister's narration made it better.

Just okay...

This was a good middle book in the trilogy, picking up where the 1st left off. good action scenes and some good lore for Sahuagin and Sea Elves. They finally get around to some bits on the church of Lathander, not alot, but some. unfortunately, the recording has a number of areas which suffer from poor audio splices. usually its just the track jumping and skipping alittle, some of them may have resulted in losing part of the scene, but nothing that really breaks the flow of the story too bad or leaves you feeling you missed anything really important.

good barration and story, poor audio edit.

At several points, the audio is spliced. It is frustrating that Audible accepts such scrambled recordings.

Nonetheless, this is book two of my favorite trilogy. The splices are minor enough that the book is comprehensible.

Meat is meat.

Great story and performance. Bad audio

Narrator is good. Story is most likely also good. Quality of the production is absolutely horrible.

In more or less all chapters the track is jumping back and forth so you suddenly hear parts of the story you already heard, or parts that you have not yet heard completely out of context of the current part of the story.

Until audible have fixed this book I will say to all to avoid this book.

And yes, I even tried downloading the other quality (switched from standard to high), and it skips the same places, telling me that the issue have been introduced during ripping or converting.

Extremely bad rip/conversion
