About this listen

Co-parenting with her best friend. What could go wrong?

The next three decades of Abby Herbert’s life are as carefully planned out as the last three were. Best career ever? Check. Great friends, one of whom she lives with in a stunning Tribeca apartment? Check. Perfect man to share her dream family? Surely just a matter of time. But then she gets devastating news from her doctor - if she wants to get pregnant, she needs to get started on that by...well, yesterday. On the bright side, she has the perfect person in mind to be the father.

Tech entrepreneur Marcus Ross has been harboring decidedly not-friends feelings toward Abby. He doesn’t want to lose her and, knowing his feelings are one-sided, he’s been trying to move on. When he learns about the curveball Abby’s just been hit with, he promises to be there for her however she wants him to be, even if the idea of fatherhood is a little complicated for him right now. But it isn’t long until boundaries start to blur, and a deal struck between friends starts to turn into something perilously close to feelings that could change everything....

I actually really love Kelley’s books and this one is just not my favorite, but it’s pretty warm and not even making it all the way through

Not my fave. Didn’t even finish

Very predictable. Not much of a storyline. Hoped it would offer a little intrigue but never did

Glad it was free

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed the story. I’m not sure I understood the storyline with his father. Seemed like a page filler. Maybe more will develop in the next book. Overall good slow burn friends to lovers story.

Good story, cute couple

The story is just ok enough to keep you listening but not quite engaged. The acting and sone of the content is cringy.

Not the best

OMG I JUST WANT HIM TO SAY THE WORDS!!! Also I (btw i know what i am about to say is ludicrous) but I’ve gotten so sick of the sex scenes in romance books being the same darn thing, that I found myself fast forwarding through them in all books- but I don’t know if its the narrators in this one or what but I LOVED listening to them. The romance and intensity was just so spot on. I swear if the ending of this book doesn’t end how I want I may cry for days instead of starting a new book right away like I normally do!!

I’m only pin chapter 22 but...

I had to speed it up to get through. There is way too much conversation. It was just talk, talk, talk.

Not my favorite

Yes I am a bit prudish but the bad language seems
unnecessary to the story. Previous books by same author I read were great stories minus such a heavy
use of such language.

Gifted Author. Unfortunate Bad Language

Male narrator was not easy to listen to especially with his Abby and other female voices. It was cringy.
Predictable. Annoying.

Listened at 1.6 to get through it.

I have enjoyed Kelly Rimmer’s books because they have good storylines, while also being quite clean in plot and language. This is neither. I’m disappointed. .

Disappointed

Abby finds out she has fertility issues and unless she gets pregnant soon, she won’t be able to have a child. She considers her best friend Marques’s brother but he turns her down. Abby and Marques are best friends that swear there’s nothing between them.

Marques offers to have a baby with her. From there on they constantly
agonize about their friendship and ruining it. It goes on and on and on about both of them misinterpreting the other’s feelings to the point of being boring having to listen to their
misinterpreted feelings.

When they finally have sex to conceive a baby, the same insecurities go on forever as do all their sex scenes.

There is no other story about having the baby and raising it. I don’t recommend this book. Waste of time.

Boring!
