Publisher's summary

Fan favorite Ivypool takes center stage in Ivypool's Heart—a thrilling, super-long standalone adventure in Erin Hunter’s #1 nationally bestselling Warriors series!

It’s been many moons since Ivypool lost her daughter, Bristlefrost, to the Dark Forest, yet Ivypool can’t bear to move on. Even being named Deputy of ThunderClan feels meaningless in her grief.

When Whistlepaw has a disturbing vision—one that could spell disaster for all the Clans—a group of cats is selected to go on a quest to investigate. Ivypool is happy to join their mission. Perhaps being away from her daily responsibilities will help her escape the painful memory of Bristlefrost’s death.

The cats set out on an arduous journey, facing everything from painful hunger to bloodthirsty dogs. But nothing can prepare them for what they find: a disgusting twoleg den that’s caging a series of strange animals, including two who may have surprising ties to the Clans.

In order to complete their quest and right a terrible wrong that goes back generations, the five Clan cats must help these creatures find their true home. But first, Ivypool must let go of the past, and her grief, if she is to have any hope of ensuring a future for the Clans—and for herself.

This story Is so good

I like this story because I love warriors and It makes me feel that Ivypool is no longer broken by the death of bristlefrost and Rootspring is not broken by it either.

It’s a very good story but

What I don’t really like though is the voice actor no offense, but I think that every other cat has like no Characteristic, I mean some do but like just squirrel fight it sounds honestly like she’s always bored and she has like literally no emotion which I really don’t understand but overall, I think it’s a pretty good book

Felt like my mom was reading to me

I love me a good warrior cats book, and this one is no exception. However, the narrator was difficult to listen to, especially in the beginning. It was as if my mom was reading me a book for the first time that she knew nothing about, and character voices were inconsistent if even there. It wasn’t the worst, just not what I would have expected from warriors or audible. And that’s saying something considering the character voice choices from the other warriors narrators.

Ivypool’s grief

Truly this book was wonderfully written if not only for Ivypool’s grief and how beautifully written it was. If anyone knows grief where it’s left you angry and full of regrets then you’ll find yourself relating so much through Ivypool’s adventure, everything up to the ending was beautifully written and following Ivypool’s emotions through her loss was a journey of itself with a wonderful ending, thoroughly enjoyed reading this book with plenty of tearful moments

Wasn’t sure about the reader at first, but quite liked her.

I was a bit tentative when i realized the reader wasn’t Mcloud Andrews, since he usually reads these books, but I quite liked this reader. She occasionally mispronounced some stuff, like at some point she called Ivypool just Ivy, but she was good.

The story was great. I loved the extra world building and the way they didn’t bring bristlefrost back fully but at the same time gave Ivypool closure and has her at least exist somewhere. I also liked the extra characterization of side characters like Whistlepaw and Icewing.

Definitely one of the better performed warriors audiobooks

Overall, Ivy pools heart had a really good story and it expired a lot more on the spiritual side of the Warriors universe and was an absolutely amazing read
I hope that this level of narration
quality continues with the next arc of warriors

Another new narrator?

MacLeod Andrews is the best voice actor-narrator for the Warriors series, but Katie Anvil Rich did a good job and I enjoyed her efforts. The story is a sweet expansion on clan history & religion that stands well on its own in the middle of its contemporaneous arc, so kudos to Cherith Baldry and the rest of the Erin Hunter team.

P.S. The music adds nothing. As a professional musician, leave it out.
