About this listen

"Didn't I tell you you'd never be free of me?"

When Sadie Hoffmiller receives a threatening, anonymous text message just days before her wedding, she's determined not to let it interfere with the celebration she has carefully planned for months. But when the threat changes from a distant fear to a frightening reality, Sadie realizes just how much she's underestimated the situation. Desperate to put an end to the game she's been forced to play, Sadie, her fiancé, Pete, and her children pull out all the stops - resolved to stop running and see justice done. What they don't know, however, is just how far Sadie's nemesis is willing to go and just how many people may be hurt in the process. There's no turning back for anyone in this riveting conclusion to the 12-volume series, and the question becomes whether or not Sadie will have a future left when the game finally comes to an end.

Such a fantastic ending of a series!

I loved this final adventure and mystery. I loved the characters that were brought back and the major twist at the end and how it goes up the series. It was such a great book to finish the culinary mystery series!

Love!!!

I have LOVED every book in the series. Highly recommended! I’ve also loved that the same narrator did all the books and her voice fit the character so well.

Fabulous!!!

This series if fabulous! Every mystery was wonder. And to conclude the series in the way she does is genius. I would recommend the whole series with a 10 star rating. I look forward to what comes next. Well done Josi S. Kilpack. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Couldn't finish it

Would you try another book from Josi S. Kilpack and/or Diane Dabczynski?

No. This was supposed to be the best one. If so, then I don't need to read the others.

Has Wedding Cake turned you off from other books in this genre?

Maybe.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

No offense to her, but she really over-exaggerated her annunciation of words. It almost felt like she was trying to speak English to someone in a foreign country, v-e-r-y clearly. Quite distracting. And her tone was akin to someone reading a bedtime story to a child.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Frustration. Was waiting for something to actually happen. Got to the sixth chapter and the characters were still basically pondering and mulling about what to do. I don't mind a bit of that, but when I'm into a mystery, I want the actual intrigue to start showing up by the sixth chapter.
