About this listen

When trouble roars into quiet Arborville, Alexa and Anna-Grace find themselves the target for discord and exposed secrets. Can they continue to seek the God of all grace amid the fog of confusion?

Alexa Zimmerman wonders if the Old Order Mennonite community in Arborville, Kansas, will ever fully accept her. Her family roots here aren't what anyone thought when she'd first arrived, but she is hopeful that her culinary and hospitality skills will win over the skeptics . The bed-and-breakfast she's operating needs to succeed, so Alexa agrees to allow Briley Forrester, the hotshot reporter from Chicago, to stay as a long-term boarder, not knowing his real motives for being among the Plain folk. But when Alexa agrees to host her cousin, Anna-Grace Braun, the presence of extended family brings out Alexa's insecurities and sets Briley on the trail to uncovering a web of hidden truths.

Plans for a secure future and the sweetness of young romance hang in the balance when Alexa and Anna-Grace have to face that their secrets are interconnected, binding the two in ways they could not have imagined. They must trust in a loving, heavenly Father and his plan for their futures.

Oh What a Tangled Web we do Weave When we Practice to Deceive

I will listen to all three books in the series, but you need to know that these books are filled angst. So many lies and broken relationships.
They are not light reading. I can feel the constant tension that the various family members are feeling, which can be exhausting.
The narrator is good, but her gravelly voice is a little off putting.

Love the book itself but recording was not good

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

book yes....recording kept going backwards in places

Who was your favorite character and why?

Suzanne

What aspect of Alyssa Bresnahan’s performance would you have changed?

None...she was excellent

Was When Grace Sings worth the listening time?

yes except to the interuptions in recording

Any additional comments?

Leaves a lot of loose ends.

Story moves along slowly building as it progresses as all of Kim's writing does. But, it never reaches the culmination of all of its weaving. This book is definitely just a bridge in the series. I guess it is a good way to get you to buy book #3. Lots of loose ends leaves you wanting more but frustrated with the ending. if you plan in buying book 3....you will enjoy book 2. But do not spend your time if you want an ending that answers the questions that develop during the story's unraveling.
Narrator is very good.
