Publisher's summary

A communication expert offers the keys to healthy, effective communication.

All of us have found ourselves in situations where we don't know if we should bite our tongues or speak our minds. When is silence golden? When should you speak up? In this popular book, communication expert and former pastor Michael Sedler offers listeners practical guidelines for all types of conversations. He also explores the cost and purpose of silence, why to check motives when talking to friends, family, and authorities, how to ask good questions, ways to deal with anger and resentment, and how to overcome pressure to remain silent.

Using biblical and contemporary examples, this must-have book shares important strategies for improving communication skills and building better communication within the workplace, church, and home.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this book. It was well presented and easy to understand. The author spoke about his experience as a Jewish Christian. I liked this because I could identify with it .

Eye Opening

Brilliant perspectives and advice from a sincere messenger of God. I'm not a Christian so I almost returned the book without reading it. That would have been a huge mistake! I found great insight, positive messages, and inspiration here to deepen my own personal faith. Looking forward to re-listening many times.

Thank you so much to the author for "speaking up" and sharing your words with the world.

Excellent book

I walked by this book in Walmart, and thought it was going to tell me to shut up. But it didn’t. Once I started reading it, I also purchased it on audible so I could listen while driving and walking the dog. It is a wealth of helpful info on speaking up in an appropriate way. Loved the scripture references!

I expected more strategiens to converdations.

There is too much emphasize on bible stories and personal stories. There is a need for more straight forward approach.
