When Wicked Comes Calling...

When a mysterious stranger finds his way into her bedchamber and offers his help in landing a duke, Lady Felicity Faircloth agrees - on one condition. She’s seen enough of the world to believe in passion, and won’t accept a marriage without it.

The Wallflower Makes a Dangerous Bargain...

Bastard son of a duke and king of London’s dark streets, Devil has spent a lifetime wielding power and seizing opportunity, and the spinster wallflower is everything he needs to exact a revenge years in the making. All he must do is turn the plain little mouse into an irresistible temptress, set his trap, and destroy his enemy.

For the Promise of Passion...

But there’s nothing plain about Felicity Faircloth, who quickly decides she’d rather have Devil than another. Soon, Devil’s carefully laid plans are in chaos and he must choose between everything he's ever wanted... and the only thing he's ever desired.

Excellent Book

Sarah MacLean is a master of her craft and this book definitely does justice to her talent. I hate giving away plots and telling all in reviews, so I will simply say that if you are on the fence about this book, don't be. It's worth it.

Bash bastards

I like that the main characters are bastards that have to fight for their place in the world. The heroine is headstrong but not stupid as is what usually happens with willful women in literature. I usually don't pay full price for audio books but I may for this series.

very good

I enjoyed listening to Justine Eyre's performance. I got lost in the story. I read this book many moons ago and enjoyed this trilogy of Sarah MacLean's making. Her writing kinda reminds me of Julie Garwood's earlier books.
Definitely worth a credit! Enjoy!😄

On of a kind!

I LOVED this book, as instead of seeing all the rich & beautiful things, you now get to see the dark side of London, & the dark, but handsome hero who is very bad yet also VERY good! Loved all the characters & the love story (always). Great, great story! Can't wait to hear the next one!

does not disappoint!

I've read (listened) through this series more than once and it's always fun. the sexy time stuff is nice too *wink* for once, an author didn't swim in the deep end of flowery euphemisms.

Well, it got me!

Ok so this wasn’t a “have to read” book by any means. But. It got me interested enough to want to read the next ones to find iut what happens to the rest of the siblings! Well done, Sarah, writing such vivid characters! Honestly the only thing that really bothered me, and I am hoping and praying she doesn’t do this in future books, is to have “Felicity Faircloth” repeated 8 zillion and a half dang times! Omg, if you took all of the times it was said you’d probably get 2 whole dang pages! It got to where I cringed every time it was said!
Story was cute. It was kind of nice, actually, to have the underdog from the world of the lower class be the star, and ever the winner. Its something we can all relate to, instead of the other world which we dream about. Love both kinds of stories, but these are less frequent.
Narrator was fine. Not one of my favorites but in no way am I inclined to avoid her. All in all, worth my 2 for 1 purchase. Not sure if it would be worth a whole credit though.

Sarah MacLean hit another home run!

Sarah did it again! This story is compelling, the characters have depth, and the witty banter is top tier. Can’t wait to listen/read all the books from this series.
