November 14, 1944: I wax a German ace. The next morning, it’s March 10, 1942. Confused? Welcome to my world.
I have no idea how this happened or what the hell is going on, other than the fact that the airfield I found belongs to the 2/81, an all-female fighter squadron operating near Marseille, France.
I’ve managed to befriend a few of the pilots since arriving. One even thinks I might find some answers if I can track down some witches in the region. Like actual, magic-brewing, curse-slinging witches. The catch is, no one is quite sure where they are, and apparently, they live in woods teeming with the most nightmarish abominations you could ever dream of.
But before I can get to that, I’ve got to teach these girls how to survive in the skies because I’m going to need some of them to vouch for me.
Easier said than done.
All the girls here are rookies. Worse, they’re dogfighting a Luftwaffe ten times deadlier than the one I ever knew back in 1944.
Things look bleak, but I think I can turn things around for all of us. If not, I’ll definitely die trying.

Element of the story felt overdone. Like alternate time has mystic not well explained phenomena. Like it’s magic duh. Also that part of the book felt prevalent in the beginning then promptly shoved into a closet and forgotten about until the end.
The MC felt underwhelming.. he did things but always felt like he needed a hand in all he did.
Putting shots on a target… damn mine are going down but I’m not quite putting my targets down.
Then it gets brought up that during a fast forward period in the book you took out a good margins of fighters. Would have liked to see him be more like the Main German ace. MC felt more like a prevalent side piece.
The main character was well done and developed. The other supporting characters lacked that. If there was more development and investment in the other characters the losses would have felt more substantial.
The air battles were very detailed in my opinion. Great job there. They were tense and drew me in.
Voice Actors are top notch in this one. Only a few editing issues with volume, pace, and or tone when they must have decided on a retake for specific passages.
This one is worth the read.
It was a good read. If a little light on the MC actually kicking ASH.

A World War 2 pilot is mysteriously transported to an alternate Earth that is almost exactly like our own, but set two years earlier in the war, and with several squads of all female pilots. He leads them in battle and beds several of them.
If you like discussion of different kinds of WW2 aircraft, their armaments, pilot slang and names of aerial combat maneuvers, this is for you.
