Publisher's summary

Some witches cast spells. Others sacrifice everything.

A sister forced to do the unthinkable. A kingdom on the brink. A quartet of witches intent on altering history.

For centuries, Sister Winter’s life has been dictated by a Grimoire—the book her Sister Autumn just destroyed. Despite the necessity of its destruction to end a vile shadow organization and the sisters’ 300 years of separation, Wendolyn is left adrift without its guidance.

As secrets from long ago begin to rise up around her, Sister Winter must face what haunts her, while the Prince of Mereville uses his abilities as Marchand de Mort to infiltrate the Order—the shadow regime that wants him dead.

Will the ghosts of the past keep Wendolyn from her sisters? Will their differences spell the end for Midlerea? Or can they put aside what’s been to save the dark prince and the future of the realm?

Series is captivating! Great sequel to autumn of the grimoire.

This book has everything you can want adventure, love, surprise and I loved the pov wasn’t just Aggie and grims, you really get to understand sister winter and why she is the way she is! More characters are introduced in this book and they meld in wonderfully, this book was an emotional roller coaster and the ending was such a surprised and left me wanting more! I can’t wait to dive into the next book!

Absolutely captivating, atmospheric witchy read!

With such descriptive storytelling, Vampa brings this magical world to life!

The second part of this tale is set in the absolutely captivating, atmospheric winter season, the perfect read, for this time of year. I have never wanted to grab a blanket, snuggle up and read a book so badly as this.

In this book, we carry on with the mission of Agatha and Grimm but this time, the sisters are along for the ride and although these sisters have very complex relationships, with lots of witty banter and arguing (well one Witch in particular) if you read AOTG you know that feeling you get from each and every one of these characters and their familiars, it’s just so loving and magical.

In this book, we see a side of each of The Sisters Solstice, Aggie, Winnie, Sorscha and Seleste. Each sister carrying out their own mission but for the most part, we are still getting plenty of Agatha (and Grimm of course) and just as much Winnie.

In AOTG we have the story mainly being told by Agatha, sister autumn but in WOTW, we get to see SO much more, of ALL the sisters, a lot more about their past and how they became The Sisters Solstice. There is plenty of mystery in this book that kept me guessing and a bit of SPICE! (for those of you who seek out that very word in reviews😉) This book is so well written, and I found myself reading well into the night, trying to finish it.(it has to be an exceptional book, to make me stay up past my bedtime😊 and this was one of those books) I don’t want to mention any spoilers but if you read Autumn of the Grimoire and loved it as much as I did, then Winter of the Wicked is a must read.

If you have not read Autumn of the Grimoire, and you enjoy Gothic Fantasy with Witches, mystery, romance, enemies to lovers, morally gray characters (not just men) a bit of spice and an ending, that will leave you counting down the days until the next book (of Spring) is released, then may I suggest, that this be your next read, you won’t regret it.

Oh, and did I mention Laurent Barroque. Cirque Master. Leader of the Druids. Sunshine in a cold Winter gloom. (sigh) I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH!!!🖤

Really enjoying this but…

I love this series! But *Spoiler* the reason why / how Grim came back was a bit anticlimactic to me. In my opinion it should have been darker and had a good battle between wills. Love sister winter in this though! I liked the character development.

Overall though love this series! I’m super excited to see how the story unfolds.
