Publisher's summary

It’s not the size of the ship in the fight, but the size of the fight in the ship.

Jacob Grimm returns as CO of USS Interceptor just a few weeks after he graduated from command school. He’s immediately sent on a rescue mission to the far side of Zuckabar, with no backup and dwindling supplies.

When an unknown enemy cripples his ship on the outskirts of the system, the crew must come together and track their mysterious foe out into the unknown.

An incredible discovery leads them to another system. Trapped on the wrong side of a starlane with an enemy that outguns them and civilians to rescue, Jacob must push his crew to the very edge of their ability.

If he can’t, they will all die out in the black with no way to warn the Alliance of the new threat on their doorstep, and all two million souls on Kremlin Station will pay for his failure.

From USA Today bestselling author Jeffery H. Haskell comes book two in the military science fiction epic in the tradition of Honor Harrington and Star Trek. If you love heroes and ships you will want to stand With Grimm Resolve against Interceptor’s latest enemy. You’re in the Navy now!

Worthy Sequel

So often in my experience, sequels don't live up to the standard set by the first novel in a series, but Jeffery has proven he can deliver! The stakes are raised, the action more intense and the character development carries the story all the further. I'm definitely hooked and looking forward to more!

Interceptor - First to fight!

More incredibly deep intertwined and dark machinations within a space-faring dystopian future that pits varied cultures of human society that clash with one another. Leaves a reader wanting more of this storyline and a great continuation to broaden this possible future universe!

Space Opera

This series is one of the better space operas...
Very Star Trek like, but instead of being an explorer, the hero is a good cop in a bad neighborhood.

Great series!

I love this series! It has everything a good space opera needs; great characters, large scope, politics, battles etc. it also moved at a believable pace - problems come up and are resolved in a logical time-frame and manner. Conflicts abound, both from within the Alliance as well as outside forces. The only thing I found annoying is the narrator. I’ve listened to Mr. Berkrot narrate other titles and I’ve always found his narrative style to be solid. In this series, however, he does that thing - I believe it’s called “vocal fry” - at the end of EVERY sentence, where his voice dips below normal register and he sort of growl whispers… It’s annoying and really takes away from the actual setting and context. But, I like the storyline and the direction this series is taking, so will eagerly await the next installment.

I don’t know why these books do rave more reviews

Books are plan, but good military sci-fi. I mean Haskell isn’t going to be my new favorite author or anything, but they are good enough for me to buy and enjoy all of his books.

Grimm brings home another home run

Another stunning entry into the Grimm universe! Grimm is really against the wall this time. He pulls his faithful crew together to escape unbelievable odds. Will he have time to warn the alliance. Will the interceptor finally have met its match? Listen to find out on the next entry into this tempest that Haskell has masterfully created. His ability to create situations that seem untenable then bring the hero’s to bear is a great skill. Another 5 star hit now onto number 3

Good story overall!!

The story line was good. There was very minimal cussing, The captain had a little bit of religious background, instead of what a lot of books these days, where they don't believe in God...very refreshing!!
