About this listen

China's leaders watched the riots and looting that tore through America during the summer of 2020 carefully. The events of 1/6/21 confirmed what China's leaders had long suspected: that America is divided. World War 3: The Dragon Rises depicts how a Chinese EMP (electromagnetic pulse) weapon attack upon America would cripple the United States. China's leaders also unleash the world's first super-soldiers upon America in World War 3: The Dragon Rises. With altered DNA, these super-soldiers utilize the chaos that has gripped America after the electricity goes out.

America's political leaders show their true intentions after the EMP attack. With no regard for the American citizens, Washington, DC's elite betray the country. World War 3: The Dragon Rises shows how ordinary Americans and America's leaders would deal with an EMP attack. This exciting and realistic thriller shows how the USA's political and social divisions will lead to its downfall.

High School Writing at Best

The general storyline is ok. it's consistent with what is hot amongst the conspiracy theorists and prepper groups. Unfortunately, the author is lacking in actual literary skill. So over the top is the agenda focus, that it's impossible to read the story and not feel like you're being played. The narrator should have read the work a couple of times before attempting to read it for recording.

Overdramatic but good warning to America

The performance was amateurish but the story and warning of our excesses was well taken. At the risk of a spoiler alert it would have been nice to inject some hope in the story.

Horrible performance and needless sound effects/voices.

Ok story line but could have been better. Lots of inaccurate use of military terms. Too bad the book wasn’t written better since it addresses some credible issues in America today.

Not good. Dull and far-fetched. The story was too micro and then went off the rails.

Felt like a Dick & Jane novel.

Political characters could have been more believable if they were fictional. Chinese super soldiers to repetitive. Game show to ridiculous. Had to stop there, was near the end anyway.

A bit long

Interesting beginning both geopolitical and scientific. It gets quickly too long as it is only covering the story of a couple small groups and completely miss the big picture of what is happening in North America during the WW 3 story. Having experienced war and chaos, yes, human nature quickly turns to “dog eat dog” in desperate times….

It’s OK

There’s a lot better out there if you’re into EMP type stories. Story jumps around quite a bit. Ending was thrown together. Overall, average…mediocre.

Lost Opportunity

Great listen that set its self up well, should have been 4 or 5 books but wrapped it all up in the last 2 chapters.

Started strong and kinda yeah…

The book was good and was easy to follow along with. Personally I wish the story would have focused more on big picture EMP results. The book spent SO much time telling about MIT students and a power plant in Montana. 1st hour and the last hour were probably the best sections. Last ten minutes has so much that is simply talked past. The reader gets nothing and the Pig scene at the last 2 minutes of the book…. UGH frustrating.

Good until the end.

The story was pretty good but seemed rushed. I’m not a fan of the two Democratic families at the end but…. Even I thought the end was way over the top.
