Publisher's summary

Does the Bible feel confusing and complicated to you? Perhaps some of it feels familiar, but overall, does it feel impossible to navigate? Maybe you recognize the stories, but you just don’t know how they all fit together. Yet they do fit together. In her unique and remarkably listenable way, Angie Smith - best-selling author of What Women Fear, Mended, I Will Carry You, and Seamless - helps you tie together all the loose, disconnected threads you find in the Bible, weaving them into a beautifully crafted storyline. After listening to Woven, when it comes to reading Scripture, you’ll go: From confused to confident; from lost to knowledgeable; from separate stories to the One they are all about. Because once you see the big picture, you’ll see it on every page. Every time.

Amazing!

I’m the better for this book. The author did an amazing job at not only writing an amazing book but the way she narrated made me come back again and again to listen to her. I finished this book in record time! I feel like I understand the bubble better! Just Amazing.

Angie Smith had done to again!

I started with Seamless Bible Study. I completed twice, once alone and the second time with a friend. Now, Woven with a group. Angie wet the appetite to read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation; and I did. Then I did it again but in chronological order. Highly recommend this book!

Learned a lot!

Whereas I learned a lot, Angie Smith’s poor sarcasm should have been put to rest and kept for her family and friends. It took away from the woven story of the Bible. Smith may need more diverse work on knowing her audience. Often times she joked around entirely too much and it took my mind away from the story. If you can get past her unnecessary silliness, it’s totally worth reading/listening.

Not just for those that are new to the word

I didn’t know I needed this book. What I mean is I’ve been in my Bible for a long time and I’m pretty familiar with it.

In the beginning I wasn’t sure if it was going to just be a general skim but as I worked through it, Angie called out so many beautiful connections that I hadn’t seen before or maybe I had but needed a gentle and loving reminder.

This book isn’t just for new believers, or those that are new to digging into the word. It’s also for those of us that believe the Bible is living and growing the more we are open to learning.

I also love when authors read their own works and especially enjoyed this one.

If you are unsure where to start when you wanting to learn more about the Bible, this is the book. I plan to reread it. It was so wonderful and eye-opening and I am very thankful for it.

I totally love this book.

I am still listening but couldn't help but stop for a review. I so enjoyed her retelling of Noah's story (all family therapists dead) and now Jacob's is a wonder. you won't forget these Bible stories again after listening because the author creates such a vivid picture. I appreciate her honesty and vulnerability too as she shares her own weaknesses and how she weaves not only the Bible stories but also her personal life and family stories into the mix. she is such a creative storyteller. I love her child-like personality, kinda similar to mine. I will definitely re-read this book (or re-listen). I cannot wait to get to her retelling of Rehab's story. Hope it is in there too. God bless her. I would love to meet this author in person. I think I will get the paper version of this book as well.
