About this listen

Wrapped up in loss, Ellie experiences showers of guilt, harsh realities and moments of desolate beauty. Others expect her to "get over it" or to distract herself with parties and drink.

When Ellie meets an unusual stranger, she is stirred from her grief by someone else who remains in the tangible world. Her cloak of sadness begins to fall, supported by the comfort of another lonely soul.

Their relationship transforms in ways unforeseeable when Ellie experiences the divide between love lost and love that could be.

Heartbreaking and Beautiful

Nicole Wild paints a picture of grief through this story of those of us left behind when loved ones pass. Through Ellie, we experience an array of complicated human emotions-- clinging to the warm embraces of the past, and struggling to live and love again.

Julia Garlotte performs with a tenderness towards the story and towards each of the characters therein. She catches all the heartfelt moments of pain, love, humor, and loss, and caringly leads the listeners through the heartbreakingly beautiful journey. A must listen!
