About this listen

There's nothing worse for a writer than missing a deadline. For Griffin Montgomery, his failure to do what he loves comes at a blow. He didn't understand how it was affecting his life until his well-meaning family intercedes. His sisters have hired him a new personal assistant and he's outraged - that is, until he sees who it is.

Autumn Minor is light on her feet and a bare memory for most people she meets. She does her best to blend in everywhere she lives, even if it's only for a short period of time. Making sure no one truly notices her is the only way she's survived this long. Only when she meets Griffin and the rest of the Montgomerys, she's afraid she won't be able to let go when its time to run.

Though the two begin a tentative but explosive relationship, they know it can't last forever. Neither of them are made for the long haul when it comes to love and romance. When the demons from Autumn's past find her and put both their lives at risk, Griffin will stop at nothing to protect her. In the end, though, he'll be the one who needs a second chance.

Strong characters and story! another great one!

Loved it! I wasn't to sure when I first met Griffin in a previous book. he seemed to arrogant for my taste but in this book you see so many different layers to him. Loved Autumn. strong female but still soft at the same time. I love how she puts Griffin in his place time to time.

Gregory Salinas is so perfect to narrate these book!

can't wait for the next!

Another great addition to the Montgomery Ink series

Carrie Ann Ryan does it again with another mix of fun, danger and super sexy times. Although not my favorite thus far in the series, I still enjoyed Griffin and Autumn's story. I liked the mystery surrounding her past and the writing part of Griffin's story. It was great catching up with the previous couples and seeing the groundwork laid for Maya's and Alex's upcoming stories.

Gregory Salinas has done a great job narrating this series so far. There were times in this one, though, that his performance seemed just a bit over done. A bit forced. But overall I love the deep timbre of his voice and how he uses it to voice all the Montgomery siblings and their significant others.

Written In Ink

When he is on a deadline Griffin often forgets everything else. When his mom and sisters hire him a personal assistant, he doesn’t like the idea. Autumn knows that the last thing she should do is work for Griffin Montgomery. It is almost time for her to leave town since she has already been there for to long. I was not expecting the twist and turns in this book. The family ties in this series makes these books even better. I can’t wait to see what is next for the Montgomerys.

Great FAMILY! After reading from the beginning of this series it amazes me how the storyline keeps getting better and better. The series is well worth the read. It keeps you on edge and is entertaining always. Makes you laugh, cry, feel and keep wanting more.

TWO BEAUTIFUL SOULS THAT COULD FIT PERFECTLY... BUT

As I listen to more and more books in this Montgomery Ink series the more I become deeply ensnared and invested to see all the siblings get their HEA's.... however, this one is about Griffin the hot Professor type Writer of the family. He's handsome, tattooed and is a slob at the moment because he's suffering badly with Writer's Block - he's tried helping at Montgomery Inc. Construction but there was an 'incident' with a saw and there's nothing he can do at Montgomery Ink because he's just not talented that way. So he's let himself, and his house, go.... his loving Sisters intervene and there's only one solution - hire someone... and they've got the perfect person in mind - their good friend Autumn.

But the mysterious Autumn has one foot already out of Town frightened that someone from her past is closing in - but it's not quite time yet to go and takes on the challenge of organizing Griffin.... the frustrating, annoying, stubborn, drool-worthy, sexy, bear of a man's life - and even though her mind's shouting "Hell no", her libido's shouting louder "Hell yes". Griffin may be in a Writer's slump but Autumn's presence in his house is doing all sorts of good things to awaken his sexual imagination because you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. His feelings are mixed up... he's grateful but resentful, he's attracted but hesitant and he pulls then pushes away. Griffin senses Autumn is keeping secrets but he too has a skeleton in his closet.... and it's one that's scarred him deeply - but what can an innocent fling hurt right? Wrong!!! because lines get blurred, the past catches up, someone gets hurt, secrets are reluctantly revealed, emotions get tangled and two hearts are held in the balance.

If you haven't heard of the Montgomery Clan before then they are a large and close family made up of gorgeous looking people and there's an extended family of Cousins too so this makes for funny, good natured sibling banter, loving supportive family dynamics, humor and a tight unit of very interesting, and sometimes quirky, characters. And, in Griffin's story, there is a good dose of character development too because he, and Autumn, had to overcome their pasts before they could ever have a future. But along the way they had some passionate, sexy, sizzling and tender times..... knowing that the expiry date on their affair was already close.

Worth a credit? I always look forward to another look into the lives of the Montgomery Clan and this listen didn't disappoint. It was very enjoyable (although I did think the drama was over too quickly), nevertheless another creditworthy addition. Mostly dual POV's however, there was a Chapter containing additional POV's but that, I'm sure, is just to whet your appetite for (hopefully) the next book..... that could be a ménage. Good narration too.

narrator

I am truly struggling with this series. The narrator's Voice just grates on my nerves. In all honesty if I hadn't already purchase the whole series I would have stopped at book one.
