Slow Starting

The beginning and first book are slow going. The character build-up is great; but slow. Once the action started, it was great.

The iciness perfect!

This was a very interesting series to listen to as we are in lockdown from COVID! I especially like the second one being worse than the first! Great story that kept me on the edge of my seat!

could use work on the direct narrative

Narrator did fine to great on character narrations. He fit into the story with excitement but when he switches to the strict narrative he goes completely MONOTONE loses all the excitement of the flow within the story. I had to listen at 1.25 X just to keep from drifting off in my head.

Otherwise the story flowed well.

I really like the theme of this and also how Mike and Justin work together.

I really enjoyed this overall, it wasn't too long like some other series can be. where you feel like they're drawing it out like some dreadful serial. each book of the series kept me engaged and I really enjoyed the collaboration of Mike and justin. I look forward to more of that in the future!

annoying narrator

ok story line, but just couldn't finish it. the narrator would yell! sounded like a male version of Edith Bunker! way over the top voice characterization! was like listening to a really bad Monty python rendition of how a bad guy should sound!

A Good Series

The book is good. It had some slow places and a few that were quick to jump to other places. The overall is its a good series, totally worth the listening time and the narrator did a great job.

Zero hour started out fairly well but got more boring as it went. Glad it is over.
