About this listen

Once upon a moon, the wild wind whispered in my ear that the true queens were returning to Solaria, and I made it my mission to open up their path to the throne so that they could slip right in like an oily oyster.

Now, on this most special and wonderous of days, the very day of their birth–I will prove myself to be the most loyal and dependable of their followers. Though of course, Venus is in my chart, and Lady Petunia has caught sight of the bothersome barracuda once more.

Max Rigel is my most sinful of temptations, the shark in the dark who wishes to lure me to his sea cave, and I don’t know if I’m Fae enough to resist him for long.

But one thing is for sure. I will make certain the Vegas get the big A.S.S. party they deserve for their birthday, or I’ll die trying. Succulent squids be damned!

This is a 25k novella set in the world of Solaria during book five of the Zodiac Academy series, Cursed Fates, featuring Geraldine and Max as they attend the party of the century and try to resist the lure of the moon as it pushes them together once more. It’s full of slippery salmons and more buttery bagels than you can shake a stick at, and is best heard after Cursed Fates.

5 stars!

I really enjoyed getting to see a sneak peek at the Vegas first birthday at Zodiac Academy! It did take me a little time to try to understand where in the timeline this book fell and I think I’m going to have to say it’s after Seth and Caleb’s birthday in ZA 5 but before the end of term ending of ZA 5…

Either way this was super enjoyable and I can’t wait to start book 6!

Short and fun

Very short but quite funny and enjoyable. Geraldine her petunia and her crazy accent was hilarious.

Literally died laughing

OMG y’all. Not only are Susanna and Caroline comedic geniuses, but Jake and Bridget Bordeaux really made this novella come alive, even with the credits. I was not expecting Bridget to read the intro and credits in Geraldine’s southern accent, but it honestly made the whole experience come alive.

I love Geraldine and Max. They don’t make sense at all, but I adore how Max wants her anyway. I love that they’re passionate together and for each other. It’s like the ultimate enemies to lovers couple, and I cannot wait to finish the series just so I can get more of them (just finished Cursed Fates).

Run, don’t walk to listen to this audiobook! 1000000/10 recommend, and I’m saying this as a listener who needs her epic fantasies long and complex. This is a great addition to the Zodiac Academy series!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OMG, the characters! I love them even more. I don’t know how Bridget or Jake could get any better than this but it was absolute GOLD!

Annoying

The story is likely good, but the false over dramatic fake southern voice given to the character is so annoying nearly everything said went in one ear and out the other pretty much completely ruining it. By the end of the first chapter I spent more time toning out that annoying voice than paying attention. This really added nothing to the overall story and would have been better as bonus content at the end of a book than standalone anying garbage.

Geri is a Goof

Normally I skip the short stories in series like these, but it got me to literally laugh out loud a few times, especially with Max trying to meet her antics. Not worth a full credit but very amusing!

So freaking funny!

Loved this pov. It was a nice break from the rest of the seriousness of the series. I was laughing so hard. These narrators are the best!

Lmao

The narrator and authors really had some fun with this one. If you enjoy the weirdness of Geraldine, this is the book you.
