About this listen

From the Amazon.com and Wall Street Journal #1 bestselling authors of the Zodiac Academy series Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti.

The dragons are lost.

The elements are at war.

And fate doesn't favour the wicked.

Cover and blurb coming soon.

***This is an enemies to lovers romantasy series set in the same world as Zodiac Academy, but it's a dark and villainous tale of its own. You haven't met tainted souls like these before or enemies that hate each other as deeply as these characters do. Book 1 in the series will leave your heart raw and bloody. You'll be left gasping for breath and aching for more of the dark and twisted Fae who lurk between the pages and they might just be irredeemable...***

I Loved This Book

Where is the second book?!?! I loved this book so much. The beginning went by so quickly, it slowed down, then it ramped up so quickly it gave me whiplash but it was such a good finale. This reminded me of a tv show with episodes that have individual plots feeding in to a bigger main plot.

Two more badasses!

It took me a little bit to get drawn in on this one but once I was snagged I couldn’t stop listening. Everest and Vesper are two badass girls and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Great story after getting through a long build up

I’m excited to read the next books! This one took a while to get going but the last few chapters really pulled it all together

Long story but short on impact

Something about this felt formulaic. I kept wanting to know about this world and the politics that drive it but kept being fed tiny bits while the book went on and on about one mc bullying and subsequent anger issues and the other one’s supposed ruthelessness. Meanwhile neither are particularly likable. In the end the story relies on the death and sacrifice of women in the pursuit of a connection with these awful men I guess they’re suppose to end up with. The kind of book people who think politics should be left out of books would probably enjoy. Lacks substance. Oh And the voice for Vespers character is grating.

Solaria adjacent and it is RUTHLESS! 👀

I am so excited that this isn’t a RH. 👏 I love when these authors write a cast of characters with various relationships. This first installment is heavy on the enemies and less on the lovers—which I love bc, YES, to the torturous journey we are about to embark on! I am so looking forward to how each relationship will evolve/emerge as the series progresses.

Bridget and Jake have narrated most of the books in Solaria, and hearing them was like putting on comfy, worn slippers.

Single narration. Male only does one chapter at the end

Started great. Ended great. A little boring in the middle. Not much character development yet to form any connections or attachments to the characters. The cliffhanger was cool though. Sets up a good part two. I just wish these authors would start doing duet narration or full cast duet narration. Those are the two best narration styles. Instead they always choose the three worst styles. Single, dual or cheesy graphic audio.

Bad voice acting, okay stoary

I found this story to be extremely cliche and overly predictable. There was one twist at the end that surprised me, but otherwise there's nothing really interesting going on here. Also, I really disliked what the voice actors produced here. The men didn't sound good and Vesper's voice actress in particular REALLY didn't do it for me. It's like she latched onto the most cliche seductress voice and decided that's all she needed to do. I'm not interested in the sequel.

Great Start To A New Series

I really liked NeverKeep and I can’t wait to see where the series takes us. Narration was great as always with the Bordeaux’s.

Beautifully crafted masterpiece

When these two authors get together they knock it out of the park every single time.

When the Zodiac Academy ended I was so sad to see it go. But this story brings back that world in such a fresh new way. I could not stop. I greedily devoured every word. These characters are twisted and addicting and it’ll never be enough. I absolutely loved to see the world grow. Their chemistry is on point. There’s so much mystery weaved between the lines. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.

The narrators as always do an amazing job giving each character their own voice. Truly submerging you into this whole new world. I was at the edge of my seat with every breath. Their voices grip you and drag you along for the ride in the best way.
