• What Would You Say If You Truly Didn't Care Who You Lost?
    Jun 17 2025

    Send us a text

Have you ever caught yourself silencing your own truth out of fear? That moment when you realize you've been performing authenticity instead of truly living it?

After nearly doubling my podcast downloads when I began sharing more personally, I discovered something unsettling โ€“ even in my "authentic" sharing, I was still measuring my words, still asking "Will this be too deep? Will I lose people?"

What if the people we might repel by being fully ourselves are exactly the ones we need to release? What if our authentic voice โ€“ the one that might make others uncomfortable โ€“ is actually our greatest gift?

Every time we dim our voice to keep others here, we abandon ourselves. The Caribbean community's aversion to emotional openness creates additional challenges, but perhaps the real purpose is finding courage to speak our truth whether anyone's listening or not.

If you're ready to stop performing conformity and release the shackles of "you think too deeply," this episode offers permission โ€“ permission to speak what's real for you. The world needs truth-tellers right now. Your voice matters, especially if it makes people uncomfortable.

Ready to dive deeper? If this resonates and you're ready to do the deep work of emotional authenticity - learning to feel your feelings without being overwhelmed, finding your voice without needing external validation - explore my Emotional Sobriety Workshop and other offerings at www.liftoneself.com

This isn't about quick fixes. This is about learning to be fully yourself in a world that profits from your conformity.

  • Akashic Records Exposed: Your Soul Has Stories to Tell
    Jun 16 2025

    Send us a text

In this rare and intimate episode, host NatNat steps into deep vulnerabilityโ€”becoming the client in a live Akashic Record reading with energy healer Bree Dela Cruz.

What unfolds is a powerful journey through past lives, ancestral gifts, and the unspoken fears that keep us playing small.

Bree reveals Nat's past life as a solitary mountain climberโ€”a mirror to her current spiritual ascension and the courageous process of releasing relationships that no longer align with her soulโ€™s frequency. The reading confirms a truth Nat has long suspected: her healing hands are a generational gift, passed down through her maternal lineage.

Most profound is the validation that Nat's intuitive healing extended the life of her dear friend Natalieโ€”who lived far beyond medical expectations after a terminal cancer diagnosis. That moment becomes a catalyst: external proof that her spiritual gifts are not imaginedโ€”they are embodied.

Both Nat and Bree share deeply personal healing stories that defy conventional medicine:
๐ŸŒ€ A brain tumor disappearing in the Philippines through energy healing
๐ŸŒ€ Brain lesions reversing through meditation and nervous system work

This episode is a call to remember:
๐ŸŒฟ You may be living with only a fraction of your full power
๐ŸŒฟ Your soul holds stories, wisdom, and gifts ready to awaken
๐ŸŒฟ Healing doesnโ€™t have to look like what you were taught

By the end, one truth stands clearโ€”your authenticity is medicine. And when you stop hiding, your true pathโ€”and the right peopleโ€”will find you.

  • The Tower Moment: Finding Strength in Life's Disruptions
    Jun 13 2025

    Send us a text

In this soul-stirring episode, Iโ€™m joined by Vivโ€”an intuitive tarot reader and astrologer from Lagos, Nigeriaโ€”for a live reading that unveils deep truths about transformation, spiritual alignment, and reclaiming your inner authority.

We begin with a grounding mindful moment before diving into a tarot spread that speaks directly to those navigating upheaval:

โœจ The Star reminds us that embodiment precedes manifestation.

โ€œYou donโ€™t have to go outside to change things,โ€ Viv says. โ€œJust embody it on the insideโ€”and it will change outward.โ€

โšก๏ธ The Tower brings what many fear: disruption, collapse, endings. But Viv reframes it as divine revelationโ€”clearing out whatโ€™s no longer rooted in truth so we can rebuild from soul.

๐Ÿ’ž The Ten of Cups follows, showing us that emotional fulfillment often comes after letting go.
๐ŸŒฑ The Six of Cups reversed and The Emperor call us home to our childlike magic and our adult sovereignty.

Viv also shares her powerful journeyโ€”from spiritual dream initiation to owning her intuitive gift in a culture where such work is taboo.

    โ€œI believe in what Iโ€™m doing. I trust what Iโ€™m doing.โ€

We explore spiritual curiosity, self-trust, energy cleansing, and redefining restโ€”not as a task, but as a way of being.

This episode is for anyone standing in the rubble of what once was, wondering whatโ€™s next. Your tower moment isnโ€™t the endโ€”itโ€™s the doorway.

๐ŸŽง Listen in and share with someone who needs to hear that their breakdown might just be the start of their breakthrough.

  • You're Allowed to Feel Good Right Now
    Jun 10 2025

    Send us a text

Have you ever caught yourself whispering about a moment of joy, as if it were a guilty confession during these challenging times? "I had a good day. I went dancing. I laughed till my stomach hurt." And then that familiar shame creeps inโ€”how dare you feel light when the world feels so heavy?

This episode confronts a profound truth many of us struggle with: feeling good is not betrayalโ€”it's a revolutionary act.

We've been conditioned to believe that suffering demonstrates virtue, that burnout proves commitment, that sacrifice equals care. But what if joy isn't a distraction from meaningful engagement with the world's pain? What if it's actually a declaration that you refuse to be devoured by systems never designed for your wholeness?

    What You'll Discover:

    • How to hold both grief and joy simultaneously
    • The difference between spiritual bypassing and embodied discernment
    • Why your joy is contagious and models freedom for others
    • Practical tools to shift your internal state while honoring pain

Through powerful reflections and a guided mindful moment, we explore being awake to suffering while still letting sunlight kiss your skin, holding the weight of the world while dancing barefoot in your kitchen.

Your joy is contagious, your rest demonstrates sustainability, and your aliveness models freedom for others. Let your softness be the protest, your breath be the resistance, and your joy be the revolution our world desperately needs.

Ready to go deeper? Join the Emotional Sobriety Workshop to learn how to feel deeply while staying grounded, to care while protecting your peace, to be present to pain while remaining available to pleasure.

Because your joy is not a distraction from the workโ€”it is the work.

How Do We Find Joy After Death? A Conversation on Grief, Parenting, and the Return of Happiness

This profound episode of Lift One Self with host NatNat welcomes grief advocate Marie Alessi, who faced unimaginable heartbreak when her husband suddenly passed in 2018 while she was raising two young sons.

Rather than accepting grief as a life sentence or a hole that never heals, Marie shares a radical yet tender perspective: grief is a visitor โ€” sometimes present, sometimes gone, always allowed, never permanent. "Sometimes Joy goes to the markets when Grief visits," she shares, "and sometimes they sit together."

Through the lens of personal loss (including the death of her father at age 20), Marie opens up about raising emotionally safe children, creating rituals of remembrance, and allowing herself โ€” and her family โ€” to feel everything without shutting joy out.

From laughter at funerals to annual family celebrations honouring her late husband, Marie challenges cultural taboos around grief. She reminds us that healing is possible and joy is not disrespectful to love.

If you're ready to reframe your relationship to grief and soften into joy without guilt, this episode offers profound wisdom.

  • Emotional Authenticity: No Warning Label Required
    Jun 3 2025

    Send us a text

Permission to feel shouldn't be something we need to ask for, yet we've created a culture where expressing authentic emotions feels like crossing a boundary. Why do we apologize before sharing our sadness? Why do we preface vulnerability with disclaimers? This episode dives deep into our collective discomfort with the full spectrum of human emotion.

We've constructed a tiny, polished box where only happiness and productivity fit, making "okay" mean something artificially limited. But what if "okay" could be bigger? What if feeling sad was simply information, fear was your nervous system doing its job, and overwhelm was just a natural response to a complex world? When authenticity becomes radical instead of normal, we've lost something essential.

The most powerful realization is that everyone strugglesโ€”even those who seem to have everything together. The person who appears perfectly composed also cries in parking lots; the one who always seems fine also lies awake at 3AM with racing thoughts. We're all pretending to be the polished version of ourselves when what we truly need is to remember that messy is okay too. This episode offers a practice for giving yourself permission to experience your full humanity without apology, without explanationโ€”just truth. Because your humanity doesn't need a hall pass. It just needs space to exist.

Take a moment to check in with yourself. Notice what's happening in your body without trying to fix it. Remember: be kind and gentle with yourself. You matter, and time is a tool, not a toy. Use it wisely.

  • Youโ€™re Not Broken: Reclaiming Power, Healing Trauma & Finding Freedom Within
    Jun 2 2025

What happens when you bring together a nervous system expert and a Harvard-trained psychotherapist who survived flesh-eating disease? A profound conversation about the true nature of healing, resilience, and self-discovery.

This episode opens with a guided mindfulness practice that immediately demonstrates how we can create space between awareness and thoughtsโ€”a foundational skill for genuine transformation. As Harvard-educated psychotherapist Madelaine Weiss shares her remarkable journey, we discover how her insatiable curiosity and personal challenges shaped her unique approach to helping others "make their dreams come true."

Through vulnerable storytelling and scientific insights, Madelaine reveals why perception is so limited yet we cling to our narratives as absolute truth. "Out of 11 million bits of information our senses receive every second, our conscious mind processes only 5 bits," she explains, illuminating why genuine curiosity and openness are essential for growth. Her near-death experience with flesh-eating disease offers a powerful reframe: "Every single one of us has already lived through everything we've ever been through"โ€”a simple but profound reminder of our inherent resilience.

The conversation reaches its emotional peak when discussing faith, revealing it's not about avoiding pain but maintaining an open heart regardless of circumstances. This episode brilliantly demonstrates that true healing is an inside job, not dependent on external circumstances changing but on our relationship with ourselves transforming. You'll walk away with practical insights on navigating uncertainty, processing difficult emotions, and accessing your innate capacity for joy even amid challenges.

  • Stop Looking For HOME Everywhere Elseโ€”You Are The HOME You've Been Searching For
    May 27 2025

    Send us a text

What if the place you've been trying to get back to is actually you? Not the you that pleases others or performs for acceptance, but the raw, honest, wildly worthy you beneath all the conditioning. This essential question forms the heart of a deeply resonant exploration into authentic selfhood.

Many of us equate power with cutting people off or establishing firm boundariesโ€”valid steps in our healing journey. Yet deeper than that lies a more profound truth: real power isn't about controlling how others treat you but about fearlessly embodying who you truly are. When you stop second-guessing every word and gesture, when you simply allow yourself to be felt rather than performing what you think others want, something remarkable happens. Your presence lands differently. Your energy speaks a language beyond words.

This episode guides you through the difference between intellectual understanding and embodied wisdom, offering a gentle mindfulness practice to reconnect with your essential nature. We explore how tenderness isn't weakness but a different kind of strengthโ€”one that holds clarity and doesn't need to shout to be known. For those feeling overwhelmed by the demands of human-made systems and expectations, this episode offers a sacred reminder: you don't owe these constructs your soul. Your body carries the waters, minerals, and breath of the earth to which you truly belong. When the world feels too loud, too rigid, or too demanding, you can always return to breath, to body, to soulโ€”to you. There's no place like that.

If this resonates, please like, share, and leave a review. It helps others find this space and lets me know these words are landing where they're meant to.
