• Endometriosis Meditation - Self-Compassion Mantra for Relief
    Nov 22 2024

Self-compassion and body compassion are amazing tools to help us find some bit of relief, especially on the really bad days.

When we turn towards ourselves and witness the pain - while asking our body what it needs - we’re able to create safety and trust from within, while validating this traumatic experience.

This can convince the brain and body that we’ve always got our back and can get through this (even if it feels impossible). Really hope it helps, warrior.

  • Endometriosis Meditation - Attitude of Gratitude
    Nov 15 2024

Studies have shown that practicing gratitude can significantly reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and even physical pain.

When we actively acknowledge the good in our lives —whether it’s something as simple as a moment of peace or the support of a loved one — we begin to counteract the brain’s natural tendency to dwell on negativity.

This is especially important for us endo warriors, as there can be a lot of negativity in our lives to focus on because of our pain. Really hope it helps, warrior.

  • Endometriosis Meditation - Progressive Muscle Relaxation
    Nov 8 2024

Progressive muscle relaxation meditations are one of the most evidence-based mindfulness techniques for pain relief, based on decades of research and success.

It allows us to understand what tension and relaxation feel like in the body, ensuring we’re not inadvertently tensing muscles that could lead to more pain. You’ll notice it continues to improve each time you practice it.

Be careful when engaging certain muscle groups and don’t pressure yourself to tense anything you’re not comfortable with. And be sure to take the breathing element at your own pace, ensuring you feel comfortable. Really hope it helps, warrior.

  • Endometriosis Meditation - Calming Mantra for Stress & Anxiety
    Oct 23 2024

When we’re stressed or anxious, either because of our endometriosis or other life stressors, we can inadvertently make our pain symptoms worse, sadly.

Mantra meditations are important for calming stress and anxiety because they provide a simple, focused way to quiet the mind. Repeating a soothing word or phrase helps to break the cycle of anxious thoughts and brings a sense of calm and peace.

This practice can lower stress levels, promote relaxation, and improve overall emotional well-being. Really hope it helps, warriors.

  • Endometriosis Meditation - Imagine It Going Well
    Sep 23 2024

The brain can have a really hard time differentiating between real and imagined experiences. Thankfully, we can use this to our advantage, especially when dealing with life's difficult moments.

Visualising things going well can ease fear and anxiety by creating a positive mindset and fostering a sense of control over the situation that’s causing us stress - allowing us to show up differently in the world. This is particularly helpful for endo warriors, who can so often feel like we're lacking control because of our intense pain.

This meditation helps provide a focused, calm space to visualise it going well - thereby helping to reinforce positive thinking and reduce overall stress levels. You’ve got this, warrior.
