This story is about Daxis discovering he's mated to a human female. And he is not happy about it. Actually, that's an understatement.

I hate this place. Not that my life on Najarie was great, but at least I didn’t have a beastly alien trying to sex me up all the time. And when I say all the time, I mean all the freaking time. I haven’t forgotten Earth or the loved ones I’ve left behind. In fact, I’m willing to use any means necessary to get back to them. However, when the alien that claimed me offers to help in exchange for my body I find myself torn. Either I’m nothing more than a breeder to him or he’s trying to find a way to persuade me to stay. If that’s the case, his method is working.

Besides, I've just found my sister and I have no desire to be away from her. But this alien doesn't take no for an answer - in English or in his language. So now I'm stuck in a new village with a bunch of Boraq who would rather see me dead than mated to their Masse. However, the more time I spend with the infuriating male, the harder it is to plan my escape. If only I could find a way to stay alive and be his.

When I woke up and took in my surroundings, I knew I was in deep trouble. From the way the aliens eyed me, to the silks draped on everything, including me, it wasn't hard to believe I was in a brothel. What I didn't count on was it being upscale. Apparently, there is a high demand for entertainment across the galaxies, and humans are rare. I would think that's a good thing, but it's not. As the bidding price goes higher and higher, so does my anxiety levels. Who knows what my buyer is going to expect from me, but I can guarantee it's nothing I'd do willingly. Until I meet Castien.

My marriage is in trouble. Jaxar and I didn't exactly have a regular romance since he abducted me and then sent me on a journey that could've resulted in my death. But that's neither here nor there. And what doesn't kill you, makes you bitter. I mean, stronger.

My alien is engaged. Yeah, I’m still trying to wrap my head around that one. Apparently, Kade and his fiancée are desperate to have a baby, and that’s where I come in. Except the longer I’m around the couple, the more I’m not so sure this is arrangement is a good idea. Or that the happy couple is even happy... There’s a part of me that wants to get pregnant as soon as possible so I can be left in peace. However, each of Kade’s gentle touches and soft kisses compel me to change my mind.

I’ve been abducted. Twice. My situation with this new group of aliens has gone from bad to worse. I was with a bunch of elf-like aliens who had unparalleled technology, but now I’m in the midst of a group of primitive gargoyle aliens running around in loincloths. Which doesn’t hide much, let me tell you. There’s one gargoyle in particular who watches my every move, but what’s under his loincloth scares me more than his beastly appearance. To be sure we’re worthy to breed with, the savages have us each perform a rite of passage. And by that I mean a test of survival.

Aliens. That's right. I said it. I know - it sounds stupid to me also. I'm a psychologist (sort of), so you'd think I'd be able to reason my way out of this mess. Except the reality is that I've been abducted to become their breeder, and it doesn't take an advanced degree to recognize this is all sorts of jacked up. But I digress. Apparently, these aliens are on the brink of extinction and need me and my fellow captives to repopulate. Yay us. I guess it's time to figure out an escape plan before they knock me up. I'll be back later. Hopefully.

He is ice cold. Both his personality and his skin. When his icy gaze lands on me it freezes me temporarily, but the first time he touches me....Sparks fly. Not the romantic kind. The tattoos on his pale skin illuminate and they are brighter than the Northern Lights. And then something in his eyes changes, making him less callous, less cold. And making me hot.

All the other human breeders have males who are head over heels for them, but do I get that? Nope. Not even close. My alien is the future king of the Dravian race and believe me, he acts like a royal jerk. Yeah, sure, he’s hot as hell, but that is not the point. Anyway, I’m still trying to figure out how to get him to do what I want when I stumble onto plans for an assassination. I decide to get involved because if anyone is going to kill the sexy prince, it’s going to be me. Especially if he calls me his “namori” one more time. Whatever that means.

When I wake up on a strange planet, my first thought is not to go streaking. Actually, it’s to find some clothes and avoid the local natives. Too bad they find me first. Instead of probing me like a normal alien, they make me their prized possession. Yay, right? Nope. Turns out they have intentions for me that are not conducive to my plan to live long and prosper. So I run like Forrest Gump. And smack right into another alien.

I'm in an alien zoo. The only problem is I'm the one in the exhibit. If I thought being abducted was scary, it's nothing compared to being gawked at by aliens everyday. Some of them look like they want to eat me while others look like they want to play with me. However, there's one male who stares at me with a blazing hunger that’s as bright as his red hair. It makes me think he wants to eat me and play with me in the most sinful ways. I don't have time for that, but it doesn't stop me from asking for his help. He agrees only if I promise to be his mate.

She brought me back from the brink of death, only to become my life. The woman is my only connection to what lies beyond this cell. I need her to learn what happened to: My House. My brethren. My brother. Then I find myself wanting her for other things. Things that have nothing to do with freedom. And everything to do with the female.

Braxton is a physician, and I'm sure that the feeling of wanting to heal people comes naturally to him. Too bad I'm not interested. All I want is to make sure my friend is safe and to find out what is going on with me physically. Braxton can help me with that, but from the heated glances thrown my way, I'm sure he wants to do more than examine me.

If I could use my hacking expertise to fly through the academy’s courses I would, but that doesn’t work in hand-to-hand combat. And this guy? He’s determined to turn me into a soldier. Except I’m more suited to being a nerd than a killer. I’m not here to learn those skills, only enhance my knowledge of alien technology, and it doesn’t include the Lokarian anatomy. But then I’m getting tutored privately (because that’s how much I suck), and it’s giving me an upfront view of the male’s body as he kicks my Georgia peach two ways from Sunday.

However, none of the aliens have picked me as a breeder. Talk about a self-esteem boost. Sure I was horrified like everyone else when we arrived, but after being here without any chance of returning home I've decided to adapt. Now I just need to find a male who's interested in having a family. Then I end up on babysitting duty, except this is no child. Actually, Kolton's one of the most powerful people on the planet, but he's in a bad way and needs help. When I'm offered a ride back to Earth in exchange for taking on this patient I readily accept.
