"The Secret of the Growing Gold" is a short story by Bram Stoker. It was first published in the January 23, 1892 issue of the newspaper Black and White: A Weekly Illustrated Record and Review, London. It was reprinted in the October 14, 1892 issue of Bow Bells: A Family Magazine of General Literature, London.

Although myths about vampires had existed since ancient times, Bram Stoker's Dracula is considered by many to be the work that launched the vampire into the human lexicon, and is undoubtedly the most popular and well-known vampire story ever written. Stoker's inspirations for Count Dracula are heavily debated, but most agree that Dracula was based in part on the historical figure of Vlad the Impaler, a fifteenth-century Romanian ruler known for his indiscriminate brutality, which included a taste for impaling people alive on wooden spikes and watching them die in slow agony.

Was it a living woman that stood by his side, or a dead body reanimated for the time or the occasion in some strange manner?

"The Judge's House" is a short story by Bram Stoker; published in 1891. When the time for his examination drew near Malcolm Malcolmson made up his mind to go somewhere to read by himself. His plan is thwarted when a pair of grifters catch onto Peter's scheme and prevent him from following through with it as planned.

A young man who was exiled from his love for one year due to the wishes of her parents, finds himself in Paris. With not much else to do to pass his time, having seen most of the city and its suburbs, he begins exploring further away from Paris itself. His wanderings lead him to a strange, dusty village and into the dangerous house of an even stranger couple. At first he is thoroughly entertained by the conversation the odd old woman has to offer him, and even more engrossed once her strange husband joins the conversation as well.

Robert Hamilton is a young man on a mission to marry Ellen, a beautiful young lady who is unattainable to him due to his lack of resources and means of providing. Robert soon enlists the help of his friend Tom to seek out a long known of buried treasure in hopes that he can attain the means by which to support the woman he loves. Originally published as a serial in 1875, Buried Treasures is a masterpiece of Bram Stoker, who while famous for his macabre tales, is a master craftsman of romance.

Little is known of the author other than the fact that she was published in magazines in the late Victorian era. On the other hand, Bram Stoker (author of the famed novel "Dracula") is a legend in the horror world. This collection features Stoker's short story, "A Dream of Red Hands". The theme is crime and punishment, seasoned with a hint of redemption.

A student needs to find a quiet place to study for his exams. He wants to be totally alone. He goes to the train station and picks a destination he has never heard of. He finds the ideal house. It hasn't been lived in for years. There is legend that surrounds this abode, and explains why it is unlived in. He of course ignores this, and since the rats don't bother him he takes up residence. Unfortunately by the time he realizes his mistake, it is too late to escape.

A Yellow Duster follows the story of a couple that has recently come into a large amount of money. They spend a year traveling with an old friend of the husband, who notices that the husband is never without a certain collection of curios. The friend is fascinated by the curios, and decides that he needs to talk to the husband about the collection. When he asks about a specific piece, a yellow duster, the husband recounts the tale of how he discovered his wife's true love for him.
