Ann and Rhonda are fed up with the way the new majority owners are changing the Beach House Hotel from the small, elegant hotel they once owned and operated into a tacky, South Beach wannabe property. What's their only recourse? Buy back the property to save it from getting even worse. And with the new management ruining Ann's daughter's plans for a Christmas Eve wedding, they have to get to work right away to regain control of the hotel.

The Beach House Hotel, the seaside mansion Ann Rutherford and Rhonda Del Monte converted to an upscale boutique hotel, continues to be a success. Not only is it the spot for breakfast and lunch, it's become the "in" place for dinner. However, they still face many challenges. With the sudden death of Robert and Kandie, Ann and Vaughn decide to raise their son, Robbie, to help relieve Ann's daughter, Liz, of the responsibility she thought she'd never have. And Rhonda becomes both a mother and grandmother.

Rhonda and Ann are touched when they learn members of a small book club have saved for a long time to be able to spend a week at the Beach House Hotel. They arrange to put the five women in one of the two private homes on the property and promise to give them all the bubbles each one has requested as a surprise for the others. Things become complicated when Vice-President Amelia Swanson requests the use of the other house for two of her staffers who need time to rest and write up reports for her.

Catherine “Cate” Tibbs, Brooke Ridley, and Amber Anderson, friends since they were awkward 13-year-olds who named themselves “The Beach Babes,” are about to face their 40th birthdays. Because they haven’t been able to get together for some time, Cate arranges for them to rent a house along the Gulf Coast of Florida for a long weekend. She hopes it will give them the opportunity to celebrate and re-ignite their friendship.

News of her beloved grandmother, GG, giving her and her sisters a cottage on the land of The Lilac Lake Inn is a tremendous relief from the negative publicity about her on social media. In Lilac Lake, helping with the renovation of the cottage, Whitney starts to rethink her entire career.

Ann and Rhonda continue their work at The Beach House Hotel, always striving to make their upscale property the best on the Gulf Coast of Florida. As they’ve learned, not all guests are easy. When they receive a request from Hilda Hassel, a member of the Bavarian royal family, for a two-week stay at the hotel in January, demanding the best room and high tea every afternoon, Ann is uneasy.

At the vice president’s suggestion, Bobby’s coach has sent him there to work to help adjust his behavior after Bobby’s life of fame gets out of control. There’s no one better to handle someone like that then soft-spoken Ann and outrageous Rhonda, who declares it’s time for Bobby to wake up and smell the coffee.
