The saints, the heroes of the Roman Catholic faith, lived lives of holiness, dedicated to serving God. Dopo un travagliato percorso interiore, completò la sua "conversione" a trentanove anni, e fondò a sua volta l'ordine per frati e monache dei Carmelitani scalzi, in cui la regola non accettava le mitigazioni dei Carmelitani.
