Saffron Skye has inherited a little piece of Hawaiian paradise. Only it's filled with the leftovers of her late uncle's life and overrun with his enormous flock of chickens. When her new friend, the oldest man in town, dies, no one else finds it suspicious. But as the town's newest poultry keeper, Saffron recognizes "fowl" play when she sees it.

There's a mongoose in the henhouse and a killer on the loose. Every day in Hawaii is an adventure. When tetrachromatic chicken farmer and event planner Saffron Skye was hired to help a couple take the plunge, she didn't expect it to get so literal. The groom drops right off a cliff into a bay full of sharks. Now Saffron is left searching for the killer as a hurricane heads to the island and an old girlfriend wreaks havoc with Saffron's blossoming relationship.

Saffron Skye can see color like nobody else. What she can't see is how a hardboiled detective in a fedora ends up on her Hawaiian egg farm and how she ends up in Honolulu's historic Iolani Palace. Money's gone missing from the Friends of Hens fundraiser. Money that was meant to help care for some of Hawaii's feral chickens. Now Saffron's on the trail with just a wing and a prayer.

The town of Maika'i is gentle and friendly, and Saffron Skye is trying to keep it that way. But that's hard to do when you're in the back of a Buick being kidnapped by a cruel woman and her henpecked husband. Now, Saffron must escape and make it to the secret wedding she's been hired to arrange. A sizeable inheritance hinges on it going off without complication. But when a dead woman washes up on the shore behind the happy couple, Saffron is plunged into a murder investigation.

The world's most prestigious tiki carving championship has come to Maikai'i, the cozy little Hawaiian town where Saffron Skye runs her egg farm and Brightblossom Events. Saffron's friend Mano is participating in the Kahuna Kalai Championships to determine who is the world's best tiki carver. Saffron is in charge of the 10-day event, and from the beginning, she is chipping away at mysteries. First, the tikis are changing. Carvers are complaining that the masks and mugs they carved yesterday don't look the same today. Is it tiki magic or something more sinister?

Saffron Skye's father has returned, and they're on a life-and-death Easter egg hunt. Cooped up on the Mighty Mo, America's largest battleship, they have to hunt and peck in every corner of the ship before Slate's old enemy flies the coop with half a dozen priceless enameled eggs. When the ship's engineer turns up dead, Saffron knows this is no time to be chicken.

It's Christmas in Maika'i, Hawaii, and Saffron is planning a party at the egg farm. The whole town is invited! With fresh Christmas malasadas, Santa cruising in on a canoe, and a live nativity, there will be caroling and clucking all the way! But how can her Christmas be merry and bright with Nik off to Barbados on a surfing trip? When, in the middle of the festivities, the world's most prestigious poultry show comes to town, it brings with it four shady suspects, three French hens, two wild-haired rivals, and a murder with a silver cup.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush - or four that have disappeared into thin air. Saffron is on a quest to find the goosenapper before something terrible happens to Cupcake and her goslings. She'd be happy as a lark if Hawaii's wild birds weren't disappearing all over the island and if there wasn't a lion on the loose from an exotic animal show. With Nik back from his surfing trip, an empty nester ruling the Hau'oli ka Moa roost, and five children that Saffron has taken under her wing, this investigation is bound to ruffle some feathers.

When Saffron plans an event that lands her at the mansion of an eccentric millionaire with a rock band that marches to the beat of its own drum, she doesn't expect to get stranded at the mansion with the band. She also doesn't plan to find a dead body in a locked room. A raging fire has cut off the mansion from the rest of the island, including all her helpers, so she's going to have to play this investigation by ear.
