Hands Faster than Lightning

Cody Anderson burns with rage. Raised to believe in law and order, the 16-year-old son of a sheriff can only watch in horror as a band of desperados murder his father in cold blood. And as he kneels by the tombstone, the distraught youth vows to repay the killers with hot lead. Taken in by a gunsmith, the grim-hearted greenhorn spends the next two years training to become the quickest draw in the West. But when he faces the first of the outlaws, Cody fears he might not have the guts to end another man’s life....

After killing the gang’s leader in Paradise, Cody Anderson is eager to continue his quest to track down and confront Jim Gallahan, the last surviving member of the band gunman that killed his father. However, his horse is too tired to continue the chase, and Cody is forced to board the eastbound stage to follow the fleeing desperado.

Cody thought that his long, difficult quest to seek justice from all the outlaws who murdered his father, Sheriff Anderson, was over after he killed Jim Gallahan, the last member of the gang. With the gunman’s dying words, however, Cody learns that these desperados were hired to kill the sheriff, by the father of his boyhood nemesis and realizes that he must now go all the way back to Shiprock, New Mexico to seek his final revenge.

After arriving at Ellie’s father’s ranch, Cody was hoping to have a normal life with Ellie. Unfortunately, the couple’s quiet existence was shattered when the general store in Ruleton, Kansas was robbed and the clerk murdered. The local community became aware that the town needed to hire a sheriff to not only protect the local businesses, but also the people of the county from hardened criminals.
