The Fallen World

Alexandra Rousseau, an engineer from the European Federation Star Navy with a past darker than the void between the stars, is unexpectedly launched into hyperspace when an FTL jump goes horribly wrong. She wakes in a world of magic and monsters, encountering a mysterious Order with plans millennia in the making. When the Order makes a catastrophic mistake, transforming Alexandra into a dungeon core, they inadvertently give her the power to bring back technology long since thought lost in this world.

Alexandra's dungeon has finally been discovered. As news of her existence ripples through the world, empires and kingdoms take notice… and prepare for war. Her isolated dungeon sits between two nations with a rivalry centuries in the making, and neither is willing for the other to control the powerful dungeon that could link their war-torn nations. The Republic will do whatever it takes to enslave her, even if it means an all-out invasion. For Alexandra to keep her freedom, she'll have to form a questionable alliance with a pair of former enemy adventurers.

Alexandra has survived the Republic's kidnapping attempt, and it has only reinforced her conviction. She must build up her forces and create an army vast enough that no one will ever dare to attack again. Or, failing that, an army large enough to eradicate her enemies no matter where they run. Meanwhile, her two noble allies are finding themselves in a delicate position. Their dungeon town, although prosperous, is threatened from all sides. They are forced to make more and more unsavory alliances to stay ahead of their foes.

The Republic's black ops have failed to take over Rebirth and steal Alexandra's dungeon core for the last time. All pretenses are finally cast aside as the Republic's army is ordered to march on Rebirth and start a war the entire continent has been dreading for over a century. Alexandra and her allies prepare for the inevitable. Rebirth gathers foes of the Republic from all over the continent while Alexandra begins assembling her secret army, ready to take the fight to the surface and to the Republic itself. But as Alexandra prepares to crush the Republic, more sinister events are afoot.

The Republic's army is falling back in shambles, obliterated by Alexandra's might. But even as Alexandra and her allies celebrate their victory, malevolent automata from an age long past move to destroy them. The fight with Seraph might have ended in Alexandra's favor and left her more powerful than ever, but it came with dire consequences. Both relics of the Old World and the custodians of the mysterious God of Fire have taken notice of the upstart dungeon core and have set their own plans in motion.
