the pace of the world and character building is greatly written. while it is a somewhat confusing isekai the author takes great care in explaining the concepts and fighting styles the mc is training in to make it through his new world. there are also intimate scenes but they are not very explicit nor do they take away from the story by overpowering the book. they have a subtle class to them and not numerous enough to be annoying. the narrators do an awesome job that makes listening to this program exciting and enjoyable

I really like the story. Very well written. Christian and Jessica... amazing job. As always.
The story and character build up is a slow burn... but in this case it makes book 1 like its intro to the Great stories to come. I'll be starting book 2 as soon as I get done typing.

Great story and narration!

A terminally ill man wakes up in a new world as a captive working in swampy farmlands. He seizes an opportunity that is presented to him and his life completely changes. Now he has a strong new body and mentors to teach him how to become the gladiatory champion. Will he rise to the challenge?

Christian and Jessica do a fantastic job with the narration!

I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to find out what happens next!

It's about what you'd expect from a book of it's type. Not really a stand out but definitely not the worst I've ever seen. Had to give it a few bonus points for having both a male and female VA of quality.

great book, interesting storyline. really good voice duet. interesting story line. transplanted person wakes up as a slave, steals a peace of fruit and has magic powers. there is more to it than that but that is the basic premise. rather than escape though they are re purposed as a gladiator of sorts. while most of the premise is something you find in other books, this one puts it all together in a interesting way that you enjoy. highly recommended.
