About this listen

When a veterinarian and a construction worker connect, it takes mishaps, mistakes, and a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Rex to show them they're made for each other.

Dr. Carter Falon is content living a quiet life in a small town caring for his animal patients. That doesn't mean he's not looking for a distraction. After finding himself precariously wedged...naked and at the mercy of a drop-dead gorgeous construction worker, Carter hires his savior to renovate his home.

When Tanner Grady's best friend and new niece needed him, he uprooted and relocated without a second thought. His life has since been centered on work and spending time with his family, but when he comes to the rescue of a cute vet, Tanner finds he's a lot more interested in the homeowner than the house he's renovating.

fun easy listen

a good pairing of narrarators just felt somewhat off at times. where you jumped ahead in the story where you felt more should have happened before they hit that point or didn't finish a scene they were in. overall an enjoyable listen just not my favorite story from this author.

RomCom Sweet

I needed this book and didn’t even know it. It’s sweet and the story has minimal to zero angst.

I’ve laughed out loud so many times. Carter and Tanner’s story evolving from friendship to forever love is so cute and so sweet.

A story like this is a soothing balm from the stress and unpredictable quarantine times. 💖

Loved it

Dr Carter Falcon has inherited his grandfather's run down house which needs a lot of work. Tanner comes to quote the job only to find Carter naked and stuck in a floor board. Friendship blossoms into a relationship. Beautifully written.

Sweet Small Town Romance

A veterinarian inhibited his grandfather’s home and made bed to the small town to start a new life. The house needs a total rehab and the sexy construction man is a instant turn on. Funny and quirky characters with lots of laughs and tender moments. Great performance. Recommend.

Language

Wasn’t happy with taking the Lord’s name in vain.

I thought the story was original and the performance was great as was the recording quality.

Good story. Good narration.

This was a good overall romance with minimal tension. The characters were my favorite part of the book. Seymour does a wonderful job of constructing interesting personalities.

I usually prefer more action and angst, but this was a nice break.

The narrator is one of my favorites, and he added a bit of flavor to the story.

This a great read if you are looking for a low angst book with some sweet moments.

Cute and Easy read

Carter, a veterinarian, hires Tanner, a contractor, to renovate and repair his old house. They become friends and then fall in love. Carter has a problem at work where his new boss is discriminating against him for being gay. He took away Carter’s patients and lied to them about why.

I had a problem with part of it. Tanner should not have told Carter’s parents about Carter’s personal problem at work. However, even worse was when Tanner went to apologize he dismissed Carter’s concerns and said they would talk about Carter’s “tattle tail problem” tomorrow.

The narrators did a great job but Mr Chambers has less experience.

Weird narration

Cute story, but I wish there was more depth to the characters personalities.

The narration of the dialogue was good, but the telling was sort of AI'sh. Weird.
