It all starts with a little game of truth or dare...
That was my first mistake. I've never been able to resist a dare and he damn well knows it. Trust me, I realize it's a personal flaw I need to work on.
My second mistake?
If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it was when I agreed to a frenemies-with-benefits situation in order to get him out of my system once and for all.
The third one, just in case you're wondering, was in thinking this wouldn't explode in my face if I came up with a list of rules for us to follow.
1- This is in no way a relationship. It's strictly dickly.
2- No sleeping with other people while knocking boots.
3- Our situationship stays on the downlow
But then he tacked on one of his own- no getting myself off unless it's in front of him.
Oh...did I forget to mention that the guy in question is Ford Hamilton, my ex-stepbrother? The very same one who may or may not remain an ex for long.
There's only one thing left to say...
FML.

This is the 2nd book in the Western Wildcats Hockey series. A spicy book between ex-step siblings that have so much chemistry from the moment they met. Hockey team truth or dare, yes, please!

Tropes:
🏒 College Hockey Romance
🩰 Frenemies w/ Benefits
🏒 Ex-Step Siblings
🩰 Possessive Hero
🏒 Boy Obsessed
🩰 Forced Proximity
🏒 He Falls First & Hard

The narrators in this book did a good book. I really enjoyed listening to these two together. Michael Gallagher always does amazing in the books he narrates. His voice is smooth and actuality sounds appropriate for a college student. Some male narrators always sound older than the age they read, but not Michael. I like listening to his voice.
Jennifer Blom did amazing as well. This is the first book I've listened to with her voice, but I enjoyed listening to her. Her voice was a nice change from the normal female narrators I've heard. Would listen to both if them again.

This is Ford and Carina's book. They grew up close and as step siblings, but was always attracted to each other. Ford was hooked and obsessed with her from the moment he laid eyes on Carina, but his senior year in high school, he pushed her away.

Now attending the same college together, they are more like enemies. They are also ex-step siblings now. Ford was always there, and getting in her way of any relationship. He was possessed and obsessed with her and didn't want anyone to have her if he couldn't.

One Night at the hockey house and 1 game of truth or dare broke the invisible string between them. Their chemistry is off the charts, and their banter was everything. When they did come together, their spicy moments were delicious and well written. Definitely a book to read/listen to if you like the tropes above.

This was a nice spicy hockey romance with low stakes. There’s a little bit of angst and a little bit of family drama but nothing too serious. Overall, it’s a quick listen and I enjoyed it. I also love all the interconnecting characters that have their own books.
