Publisher's summary

In the latest story of the Elder Races, two mates face their deadliest challenge yet-each other…

Pia and Dragos's magical young son Liam (the Peanut), is growing at an unprecedented rate, and if that isn't enough, he is also exhibiting new, and unpredictable, magical gifts. To protect him, the concerned parents decide to move to upstate New York. Both Dragos and Pia relish the idea of leaving behind the city. They finally have the space to indulge their Wyr side, and Liam can grow in safety. It's a breath of fresh air-literally-but their idyllic situation is shattered when Dragos is injured in a freak accident. Stripped of his memory and bereft of Pia's taming influence, there's nothing holding back Dragos's darkest side. And in order to restore her family and save her mate, Pia must confront the most powerful menace in Elder Races history. It's going to take more than a penny to fix this…

Love Pia and Dragos!

If you have listened to Thea Harrison's The Elder Races series then you will want to listen to this short about Dragos and Pia. I suspect most fans already have. If you haven't tried it start with book 1, you will love it! Sophie Eastlake will always be Dragos in my mind, she does an excellent job with all the characters in this series!

This book broke my hear!

Any additional comments?

To me this story was sad and unsettling. I could have done without this turn of events. Dragos losing his memory and forgetting Pia and their life together totally broke my heart! Following the series makes you become close to the characters and love them. I could not believe that something so devastating and terrible would happen to Pia and Dragos. I can't wait to find out if Dragos ever gets all his memories back. I hope he does for his and Pia's sake. Loved this book none the less.

Perfect for Elder Race Fans!

These short novellas are perfect treats for Elder Race fans. While nothing major happens to advance the story arc for the series, it's just a nice visit with character friends. Short afternoon listen and pure top-notch entertainment.

This One Will Touch Your Heart

All I could think of while listening to this story were combat veterans with traumatic brain injuries and what they must go through with memory loss and anger issues. If only their spouses could be given the gift of strength similar to Pia's. Don't hesitate to buy this one. It's fantastic!

Way to Short!!

This would have made a great full book, but it is also a great novella. While it is not hard to figure out how Dragos gets hurt, it is very hard to figure out what Pia is going to do to get him back. You do get a little in sight into what Dragos was like in his younger days though which was fun. But the question is, what doesn't he remember?? As for "the Peanut", I love the suprise he had for his parents!! You never know how a child will act to a simple statement.

While I never use to like short books, I must say I really have enjoyed all the novellas in this series. But now I have to wait again for the next installment in this series, luckily not long for the next will be out sometime this month.

Thea, Please keep them coming and also please keep Sophie Eastlake as your narrator. She does a perfect job and I love listening to her. I don't think anyone else could do your characters as well as she does.

DRAGOS and PEANUT!

Man... this was awesome! If your a fan of the Elder Races... you know Dragos and you know Pia and Peanut! Dragos gets in a little accident... and poor Pia has to deal with a reverted Dragos... how he was before he was the Dragos we all love...

Now.. here is the thing... Will Dragos get his memories back...IDK... which sucks because Dragos was one of the oldest of the oldest of the Elder Races... I see a full book coming up about this..

Now Peanut... boy has just decided to keep growing... 6 months... 5yrs old.... why not! Loved it..

I cannot wait till the 3rd book in this set of novellas... Peanut is going to start school... I am so there!
