About this listen

A gargoyle, a leprechaun, and a motorcycle gang walk into a bar....

Scratch that. A human woman (me) accidentally walks into a Faerie bar run by a leprechaun who keeps a cursed gargoyle on a shelf. Somehow, that gargoyle goes home with me, and I start dreaming of a man.

Doran. He's trapped in stone and darkness, and only I can free him.

He says I'm the treasurekeeper, and I need to find his friends, the other treasures, so we can break his curse. He haunts me night and day, driving me to hurry. I can't sleep. I can't think. I have to find them. I have to free him.

Turns out his friends aren't that hard to find, because they're drawn to me, too. But these whiskey-drinking, tattoo-loving, motorcycle-riding badasses are resigned to their fate. Over the centuries, they've lost too many treasurekeepers to risk their hearts and souls again.

I have to find a way to convince them to join me. Before it's too late.

Contains mature themes.

Her Irish Treasures Book One

Her Irish Treasures Book One.

Riann wakes up after a night on the town with a gargoyle in bed with her. She thinks she must have stolen him from the last bar she went to the night before, Shamrocked. After the dreams she had that night, Riann is certain something is wrong. She and her friend, Viviana, track down the bar that shouldn't exist only to find the "bartender" in a run-down building that looks nothing like the upscale bar from the night before. Riann learns that she must find three more men before she can search out the one from her dreams.

If you're interested in Irish lore and destiny, this is the book for you!

Narrator ugh

This narrator is not one of my favorites. I usually steer clear of anything she voices, but this one seemed interesting and short enough to get through it even if she bombed. Well, she bombed and I almost DNF.

Ruined by the Narrator

I like Burkhart’s books - especially the vampire series. And although the narrator seems to do a great job with the men’s voices, I can’t get past the whiny voice of the main character! Riann should be a bad ass, even when she’s scared and questioning everything!! Instead, her constant whine is so annoying- I can’t finish this going to. Because I know the author from other books, it might be worth trying to read the actual book & ditch the audiobook

The narrator

Honestly the narrator did not do this book justice. She sounded so freaking whiny while just taking of the most mundane of things. Every action sounded like an inconvenience coming from her mouth and honestly the way she said pus*y was almost like she was embarrassed to say the word out loud. How do you narrate a smutty book if you can’t really use the right tone to speak it?
