Was A Good Story

I have read the entire series with Steve and GInny. It used to be one of my favorites, however the abridged story does a disservice this really great saga. There is too much left out for you to even understand their story. I would encourage the listeners to buy the entire saga so you will truly enjoy this love story. If you want ups and downs and all varieties of emotions then this is your story. They go through a gauntlet of situations and still come out in love. Nothing and no one could keep them apart.

Disappointed

What made the experience of listening to Sweet Savage Love the most enjoyable?

The reader made the experience most enjoyable.

What do you think your next listen will be?

No sure

What about Amy Marks’s performance did you like?

Ms. Marks voice was clear and evoked the emotion necessary in each situation.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it was not. I expected a much longer reading that actually included the entirety of the original book.

Any additional comments?

I felt that more than 1/2 of the book was left out of this audio. I was very disappointed.

Don't bother

I was nostalgic so I bought this - I should have saved my money. Abridged version leaves much to be desired.

A Classic

A Classic of the romance genre, along with Woodiwiss' Shanna. Unfortunately, Abridged. There should be a special place in literary hell for those men who choose to abridge romances, because they're beneath whatever standard those men have. Puh! I spit on you! If we create our own reality, I'll take romance over murder or psychosis anyday of the week, etc.

Abridged

I didn't notice how much it was shortened when I ordered it. Very disappointing!

Not what I expected

the book was shortened bu ALOT! read the whole book even for audible, not reading the whole book makes the experience of getting one of your favorite books on audible, and on of your favorite authors since you were 16, less than desirable. I was greatly dissapointed in the reading of her books because so many parts were left out! Books are way better than the audible version.

Where is the rest of the story

Would you try another book from Rosemary Rogers and/or Amy Marks?

The Kindle and printed versions of this book are fantastic. But Wow what a disappointment to find the audio is only the first 1/4th of the story. The entire Ginny and Steve struggle is completely missing. You would think this is the end of the story, and yet the book is much more indepth and the struggles don't leave a true happy ending. SO this is not a complete book by any measure. Sorry but was very sad substitution.

This abridged version is disappointing

Many, many years ago, I read the print version of this book and enjoyed it very much. This abridgment left out so much that it lost the depth of character development of the main characters, Ginny and Steve. This was my first and will be my last abridged edition!

Predictable

Would you try another book from Rosemary Rogers and/or Amy Marks?

I read several of her books many years ago. I enjoyed them and I thought I might like this one. I guess I did not realize how much romance novels have improved over the last 20 years. The Ms. Rogers' plot now seems simple and formula driven. It is boringly predictable. The characters are one dimensional and not very interesting.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Tear it up and start from scratch.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator did a fine job.

Could you see Sweet Savage Love being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Perhaps on the Halmark channel.

Any additional comments?

Do not waste a credit on this one.
