About this listen

So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I've ever come across.

While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering, and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder to cry on (you know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people! He was supposed to grant me countless orgasms as a thank you, not a jail cell.

After that day, I was mentally plotting ways to strangle him. So what if my body did more than just shiver when he whispered dirty little things in my ear? I can't be held responsible for that.

Even if he and his son were the best things since sliced bread, I couldn't fall for him. No matter what promises he whispered on my skin, my curse wouldn't let us be. I wasn't a damsel in distress - I could save myself, thank you very much - but deep inside, I still hoped Adam Connor would be the hero of my story.

"There really aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe the millions of ways I loved this book. To Love Jason Thorn made me a huge fan of Ella Maise's writing but To Hate Adam Connor may have just made me her book stalker!" (Read. Love. Review.)

Funny, Sweet, Feel Good Romance!

My first Ella Maise story and it won't be my last. It was funny, steamy and had a lot of witty banter. I found myself laughing out loud. I LOVE IT, but I have to admit I almost did not make it past the first couple of chapters. Some of the dialogue between Lucy and Olive was annoying but once the pool scene hit (around chapter five) the story, dialogue and plot was awesome. I'm really glad I did not give up on this one!

Some spoilers;
After a break up, Lucy temporarily moves in with her best friend Olive and her husband Jason who happen to live right next door to the sexy movie star, Adam Connor. She secretly spies on Adam over the fence and takes a few pictures. One day while spying, she notices Adam's son, Aiden, is left alone by the pool where he puts on one arm float and gets in by himself. Watching from over the fence, Lucy sees the little boy start to panic when his arm float comes off and he starts swallowing water. Lucy realizes no one is coming to the little boys aid so she goes over the fence, and jumps in the pool to save him. Adam comes out and sees a stalker holding his son, and he has her arrested. Adam hates stalkers, and dislikes Lucy immediately. He's rude, won't listen to her, and her admiration for him quickly turns to hate. (Heck, I wanted to hate Adam.) After five hours in jail, Lucy's livid. Adam does end up dropping the charges when he learns the truth from his son and nanny. The next day, Adam and Aiden go next door to thank and apologize to Lucy. Lucy accepts, but they are hostile to each other. These two clearly do not like each other, but Lucy and Aiden bond well and Adam agrees to let Lucy watch Aiden for a week until he can find a new nanny. He may despise Lucy, but she's proven she will keep his son safe.

Adam and Lucy's hate quickly turns to attraction and the chemistry between them his hot. Adam was a swoon worthy DILF! He knows what he wants and goes for it! Awesome story with a few surprising twists. Well worth the time and definitely worth a credit!

Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York's performance ROCKED!

Funniest duet I have read this year!

I read this duet out of order but that is 100000000% ok with me! This one was by far my favorite. It had me laughing non stop, especially at some of the worst times! If all of Ella Maise's books are like this, I will have to go on a huge binge!

The narration was amazing, it definitely added to the hilarity of the story!

My opinion not yours

I loved this audiobook! Sebastian York has the sexiest voice. Both narrators were spot on. The story had it all. Love. Hate. Intrigue. Mystery.

This was a breath of fresh air!

Honestly, this was so refreshing. It definitely wasn't lacking in the sexy department, but it had some nice feel good humor. A sweet romantic comedy!

I love you, Adam Connor!

If you could sum up To Hate Adam Connor in three words, what would they be?

Sweet, Hot, Heart-warming

What was one of the most memorable moments of To Hate Adam Connor?

When Lucy & Aden built their fort

What does Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Their voices and portrays of the roles just make the book so much better. I love Sebastian York, and Lidia Dornet is amazing too! I will have to look up more of her narrations.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Well, at 10 hours, I started to get too tired. I wanted to make sure I caught every moment of this amazing book, so I had to take a nap before finishing the last hour.

Any additional comments?

I absolutely LOVED this book. Sooo hottt and sexy! I always loved Lucy, but this book just made me love her more! Sad when it ended because I just always want more from great books like this!

Loved it!

To hate Adam is to actually fall in love with him. This is a cute and quirky love story. I loved Lucy’s humor. Lucy and Adam have one of the best HEA’s I’ve read to date. The narration is great. The only part of it I didn’t care for was the change to Aiden’s voice but I imagine it’s harder to go from sexy adult to 5 yr old boy. I’d read this again and definitely recommend this be in your library

Not a typical Hollywood love story..

It’s not easy to ignore the handsome Hollywood Hunk next door.... spying on him over the wall was imperative! He’d never had known if his son hadn’t almost drowned in the pool... Lucy to the rescue! Not thinking it was a good reason she was trespassing, he had her arrested.... now she hates him.... the road to loving him is long and fun... oh and because of the curse, it will never happen anyway...
surprises and a big... very big “D” are all over this one... ... Lidia and Sebyo do this proud! Great continuation of loving Jason Thorn... they are here too...
