A Great Mistery from Start to End

I was reluctant to buy this audio because of a few poor reviews, but I'm very glad to have listened to it. It was very captivating and did something I rarely do....I listened for a second time immediately afterwards! I may listen to a book again months later, but Not this time. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss any details. Don't expect a happy ending.

Keeps you guessing

This is my 10th Kevin O’Brien book, I am totally hooked, I haven’t been disappointed yet. He keeps you guessing right up until the end. He also chooses great narrators, I get so into the story I catch myself talking out loud to the characters. If you like suspense, you can’t go wrong with Kevin O’Brien.

On the edge of my seat. Could not stop listening.

I got hooked into this one within the first few minutes. This is my second book from Kevin O'Brian, and won't be my last. I love his writing, character development and the suspense. Highly recommend if you're into crime/suspense books!!

Good

Took me a minute to get used to the idea of a video store again. Lol. Great suspense.

Quick, becoming a fan of this author

This is the second book of Kevin O’Brien’s that I’ve read, and it did not disappoint. Another page turner, as well as characters I quickly became invested in. So many twists and turns, I was literally on the edge of my seat, and an ending that literally tugged at my heart strings. I can’t wait to read another.

A great who did it

No surprise that this was another excellent book written by Mr. O'Brien. A who dunnit for sure. Narration was excellent as well. I have not yet found a Kevin O'Brien book that I did not like.

Interesting Premise

Interesting premise for the story. I was intrigued by who it was. There were a confusing amount of PIs, students, employees, etc., but not too bad.

Narration was lousy. Oh, well. You win some, you lose some.

LOVED IT!

I wasn’t a super big fan of the narration, especially as it relates to Hannah. It was somewhat difficult to follow at times, but I loved it. I couldn’t stop listening. I finished this entirely too quickly, but couldn’t turn it off. This is my second book by this author and neither have disappointed.

Good not Great

I really did like this story. The characters were likable and the story itself kept me interested. However, I think I would have chosen a different narrator. I love Kevin OBrien’s writing. Most of his books are enjoyable but most of the narrators are terrible. I don’t understand. Also, some of the story is quite unbelievable especially where the police are concerned. But, I am reading this for entertainment and though it has me scratching my head in puzzlement at times, I still really enjoyed it. I would recommend just be forewarned about some of the far-fetchedness!

2000s Thriller

This story leaves you guessing, looking over your shoulder, and in a world where VCRs and video stores still rule. You’ll wonder what’s next and how these twists can keep coming your way.
