Publisher's summary

Andrea Boyle moved to Seattle to give her 17-year-old nephew, Spencer, a fresh start after the deaths of his parents. Andrea has found her own new beginning with Luke, a successful playwright and father of a teenage son, Damon. The boys appear to have little in common, but in truth they share a private torment....

When a tragedy befalls Damon, it's just the beginning of a nightmare that unfolds. But the worst is yet to come once a dark secret from Spencer's past is exposed. And when Luke is brutally attacked, both of their futures are at stake.

Now it's up to Andrea to prove Spencer's innocence to the police - and to herself. Because for reasons she has revealed to no one, even Andrea can't help but question the truth and fear that she may be next to pay the ultimate price.

A great book with twists and turns

It was a wonderful story with mini twist and turns and had me hooked from the first to the end. What I loved most was that there were not a lot of curse words and the story did not have sex in it. Just a wonderful murder mystery.

You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone

Andrea Boyle has moved to Seattle with her nephew, Spencer, to get a fresh start after the death of Spencer's parents. Andrea is also starting over with a new relationship with Playwright Luke Schuler. Luke's teenage son, Damon is the same age as Spencer, but they really haven't hit it off the way Andrea hoped they would. Damon is being bullied at school. When he tells the teachers and principal, they are no help. Damon sets off on a plan to get even with his tormentors; one that causes a nightmare for both Andrea and Spencer.

This is my first book by Kevin O'Brien, but it won't be my last. This book starts off with a bang and never lets up. There are some good twists in this story. I guessed one part of it correctly; but had no idea about other things that were revealed as the story unfolded. My rating: 4 Stars.

Twists and Turns!

I didn't let the twists and turns change who I thought was behind the horrible events...and I was right! The author really knows how to write a twisted tale! My only complaint is with the narrator who sounded like he had been drinking through much of the story.

Kevin O’Brien did it again!

This book may be the best one yet! I was nervous and scared, I was sad, all of the emotions. I love the way everything unfolded.

Really love this author!

Great story, held my attention. I usually only listen to audio books while I commute. This author makes me listen even when I’m not driving!

Very good at misdirection.

The author puts out a decent mystery but don't listen to his books one after another. His writing is a little lazy and he repeats some character names so it might get confusing from one to the next. Also, they seem to be all Seattle based so they seem to run together. I truly enjoy the authors work and will listen to more of his stories.
