BETTER THAN SEX*

The entire “Caverns and Creatures” series is laugh out loud funny, brilliantly narrated, and interesting enough to listen to again and again. Each night, I set my sleep timer and play myself a short story to fall asleep in a relaxed and happy state of mind.
Even if you no longer follow the main story told through Robert Bevan’s series of novels, these short stories are a perfect sized treat without committing to hours of listening.
This collection of short stories is perfect for anyone who has ever listened to an “actual play, ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ podcast,” anyone who has ever played “D&D,” anyone who enjoys sci-fi, fantasy, or comedy audiobooks, and anyone who IS NOT easily offended by jokes that walk the politically correct line.
In closing, I feel the need to address the bold statement made in the subject line of this review. This book is better than sex* because:
• it’s available on demand, never claiming a headache or that it’s “too tired”
• it involves much less effort to enjoy
• you can enjoy the book in far more social settings while: waiting in line, completing household chores, walking the dog, pretending to listen to your spouse, pretending to listen to your parents, spending time with your children, working out, enjoying your prescription of medical marijuana, enjoying your regular marijuana in Colorado... and many more!
• no potential for warts
• your spouse won’t be mad if you listen to this book with your step-daughter
• your spouse won’t be mad if you listen to this book with your step-daughter, her best friend, and the woman your spouse was “secretly” dating.

If you’ve wasted time reading to this point in the review, just buy the book and try it out when you’re in a mood to laugh. I guarantee you won’t regret it (and if you do, I personally guarantee Audible will allow you to exchange it). Enjoy!

* the statement “better than sex” refers to “sex” in the following particular circumstances: while at “shank” point on the first day of prison, while experiencing a bad LSD trip, on your parents’ bed... while your parents are in it, etc...

Love Bevan and Sleep..perfect duo!

I love this series! I know people say that Tim is becoming unlikable but that’s what happens as you become more of an alcoholic. I for one think this series is still widely entertaining. Keep them coming Robert Bevan but also take your time and make them good!

A Worthy Distraction from the Main Story`

Typical Bevan. A little long in the same tropes but I laughed in parts nonetheless. I love the voice acting in this series.

Perfect, as always!

I have loved every book in this series. Even the one that did not appear as an audible book.
The voice acting is perfect from book to book. The addition of the sound effects make me feel alive in the world of the book. It’s reminiscent of the old radio plays whereas, you have actor(s) performing character(s), with sound effects.

Please continue this series Mr. Bevan.

Awesome

This was the best book in the D6 series. I listened to this book with headphones while on a train and I laughed so much people around me thought I was more retarded than Cooper.

Ideal supplement

Your favorite low stakes stories are back. The perfect funny, profane, vapid way to whet your appetite between novels.

This is the 6th set of short stories to a series of novels that itself is at least 6 books in. If you're reading this, you know exactly what you're in for. And if you're a fan who's made it this far. [1] What's wrong with you? [2] You won't be disappointed.
