About this listen

In this internationally bestselling book, Pope Francis shares fifteen rules for how to live a happy and fulfilling life.

Life can be hard, but no matter what challenges you are facing, Pope Francis wants you to know you were created by God for this moment. There is always a way to find joy and to celebrate the wonder of the life we have been given.

In this brand-new book, Pope Francis offers fifteen mindsets that allow listeners to find hope and meaning in every circumstance. He encourages us to defend and protect the light that shines in us, to believe in the beautiful, to find meaning in the struggles, to work for peace, and to build something wherever we are. He also reminds us of the importance of gratitude, warns Christians against complacency, and encourages real, face-to-face connection over conversations merely on screens. He points us toward the light, and also opens up with powerful vulnerability about times he has faced the darkness himself, calling us all to meaningful prayer.

None of us knows how many days are left before us. The wisdom in this heartfelt collection will encourage, inspire, equip, and ultimately help you to live a beautiful and meaningful life.

I struck by the beauty of the writing and how in touch with the problems of our age Pope Francis was and the depth of love it was written. It is also instructive. I highly recommend this book to anyone

I thoroughly enjoyed the audio book in helping to build my spiritual life as well as practical daily habits. The only negative about the audio book was the nearly unintelligible pronunciation of Spanish words and phrases.

I've been a pretty solid atheist my entire life so I'm really surprised by how deeply I connect with the writings of Pope Francis. He just really seems to get it. his concepts, while seen through the lense of God and Jesus, they can really work for anyone. I have pulled a ton of personal value out of his works and this may be one of the best of his I've heard so far.

This book gives you an inner glimpse into Papa Francis and his own personal faith and opinions. I am not Catholic, but I do follow the leaders in the Catholic Church. It was great to hear is personal convictions and to hear his powerful ability to give moving sermons. You don’t often get to hear a pope doing that. It’s usually such a sanctimonious affair when they do. Not in this book.

A Great Personal Testimony of the Pope’s Faith

Not what I would’ve expected from the pope. Live and make some noise, he says. Don’t become a couch potato and fall victim to false allurements of consumer culture. He addresses issues today like narcissism and consumerist pride because we definitely need a more healthy way to live. Very good, recommend.
