Death is not always an ending.
When the dreams first began, Angeni Sweet thought they were just that...dreams. Born with the gift of a medium, she quickly realized the truth - when she last entered the spiritual world, something returned inside her. Waking with bruises and daytime flashes of pain, the dark spirit makes himself known: his face, his name, a place. He leads her, and she has no choice but follow.
Believe in nothing.
Despite living in Los Lobos his entire life, Jaxon Boone has few things he believes in - his favorites being cold beer and hot women. Those beliefs change. When Drew demands he take the beautiful stranger, Ange, to an isolated cabin in the woods for the good of the pack, he learns that the things not seen are the most powerful.
The battle begins.
Fighting against the malevolent spirit of Magnum as he tries to push his way back to the world, Ange fears it won't be enough. Will Jax find the belief he needs in time to save not only the pack but the woman who quickly becomes the center of his world?

The story could have been much better if 1 the author would have toned down the use of vulgarity in the sex parts. And 2 if a different narrator had been used. Also 3 if more story was added to it.
AUDIO REVIEW......
I found the narrator to be very annoying sounding. He just doesn't have a very well good reading voice or ability to do good voices. While the characters do sound different they just don't sound good. Had it not been as short as it was I probably would not have finished the book.

Jaxon "Jax" Boone is taking a much needed break from Los Lobos. His pack is healing from the last cruel alpha leader under his best friend's leadership. Ange and Jax both hit it off when they met. Jax realized that Ange was his mate but when Jax discovered that Ange is psychic/medium, he was angry and abandoned her in town.
As Ange is dealing with the stress of her father's demand and Jax's disdain and disbelief of her gift, the angry spirit took control of her and lead her to take revenge on Jax's pack. Now Jax has to acknowledged Ange's ability in order to save her and his pack from the vengeful spirit of Magnum.
It is ironic that Jax doesn't believe in the supernatural when it concerned Ange and yet he is a supernatural creature. The readers/listeners will notice this about Jax. Jax is a werewolf and if his pack exists, there are other supernatural things that are in this world.
The narrator S.W. Salzman does a good job of narrating the story. As for the voices of the characters, it wasn't the great performance but it was OK. The narrator does used other sound equipment for the ghost's voice.
I was given this audiobook by the narrator via Audiobook Blast in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated or influenced in any way for writing this review.

Which scene was your favorite?
When Jax thinks back to his time with Malcolm in the cabin, the death of his parents and his chain being ripped off his body with a whip.If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Mates always come first!Any additional comments?
Love paranormal books, werewolves are my favorite so I might be biased in my review. Iloved the timbre of the narrator's voice and it may be just me but I thought He talked a bit
too fast, especially in the sex scenes. Other than that I loved the short story and the
different twists I have yet to read in other werewolf romances. In truth, all you werewolf
lovers out there, read this book! After reading this book 18 in the series, I may have to
check out the rest of the series.
Love my Werewolves!

Any additional comments?
This book is about a woman that is being trapped in her own body by an evil spirit and her mate's fight to save her. Psychic gifts can be curse more than blessing, or at least that's what the main character seems to believe to some extent. She is admittedly used by her parents to make money, with little regard of what she wants out of life. That is until she meets the wolf shifter that believes her to be his mate. I thought this book was well written and was an actual novel, as compared to some shorter stories that wind up to be somehow lacking by the end. I got this book in exchange for a reviewDark and Mystical
