Publisher's summary

Disciple Matthew, a former tax collector, is invited to work with Peter, James, and John in Jerusalem. He dreams of preaching and performing miracles like his fellow apostles, but he finds his dreams postponed because of a request from Yeshua's mother. Well aware of the passing years, Mary asks Matthew to help her record the stories of Yeshua while the eyewitnesses are still alive. Reluctantly, he agrees, though the longer he and Mary work together, the more difficult their task becomes. Not only are they pressured by opposition from friends and foes alike, but Gaius Caesar, better known as Caligula, is determined to raise a statue of himself in the Holy Temple, even if it means killing every man in Israel.

As Matthew works to save his people, Mary encourages him to come to terms with issues from his past. When they finally near the completion of their project, Matthew realizes that the job he reluctantly accepted might be his God-given destiny.

Amazing!

Plausible biblical fiction at its finest... a beautiful way to tell how the book of Matthew may have come about. :)

Very Good

Enjoyed this book very much. Love that Mary was always humble, not wanting to be exalted.

Lovely, and humbling story

A wonderful, soulful, and biblically accurate tale. A very good representation of the humanity of Mary, and the true relationship with her lord!
Would recommend to anyone!

Bravo Ms Hunt💐🥰🥳Bravo!!!

Rachel Botchan and Jonathan Todd Ross are tag team gold🥰

I was really hesitant to listen to this book because it surrounds the story of Miryam/Mary, the mother of YaHshua. So many such books utilize beliefs that make her equal to or more important than YaHshua HaMaschiakh, denying that she had several more children, claiming she remained forever a virgin, even though Mark6:3 and Matt13:55-56 literally give the names of HIS brothers and say HE had sisters. These beliefs denigrate what she actually did and was as a faithful handmaid of YHWH. I was more than pleasantly surprised!! YaHshua/Y'shua was called by HIS Name. The use of HaShem and YHWH. No one sat down to a meal of pork chops ...ignoring the fact that the only things YaHshua ever sent demons into was swine (Matt8:28-34 and Luke8:26-37). The Talmidim/ disciples remained Jews who recognized and loved their Messiah..Bravo!!!!

Miryam/Mary had a genuine personality with flaws, stubbornness which established the strong stuff her life had to have made her. She is a mother and grandmother, yet recognizing her SON as Elohym, exactly as she really would have in real life. Bravo!!

Matthew/Levi the former tax collector and servant of YaHshua is given a plausible history and future. He becomes a scribe for Miryam/Mary and we see her even as her life comes to an end. Bravo!!💐💐🥳 Bravo Ms Hunt!!🥰 I often utilize books like this to teach my children and grandchildren. Finally I have something for them to read that not only doesn't make me cringe but that I can feel good about sharing. I can pass this on to others and know that they will learn of the quiet dignity, the faithful servant, the loving wife and mother, and the woman of strength and backbone that the mother of my King must have been!! Bravo!!

A Woman of Words

YAHsome! A great Book of Mary and how Matthew brought Yahusha’s Life into words and into what we now call the Bible! Thanks!

thank you

I loved this book! What a awesome gift to be able to hear of the life of the Mother of Jesus. I am so happy that writers are able to entertain us while reminding us of the everyday lives of people of faith. During these end times we must live and share the 'Good news of Salvation '. May our Lord bless and keep you.

could have used a male voice for male characters

Enjoyable listen, however, clearly this book slants toward a protestant perspective as we Catholics believe that the Virgin Mary did not have other biological children; the large family that she is characterized to have had is not proven. Also, the description of her ailments and her death are also inventions of the author. Otherwise, quite enjoyable.
