About this listen

Thomas and Tasmin, twin siblings hired to oversee a wedding feast in Cana, worry when the host runs out of wine...until a guest tells Tasmin to have the servants fill the pitchers by the gate with water from the cistern. Reluctantly, she obeys and is amazed when rainwater turns into the finest wine ever tasted in Cana.

When Thomas impulsively decides to follow the teacher from Nazareth, he and Tasmin argue - since the twins have been together since the womb, Tasmin can't accept losing her brother to some magician-prophet. Aided by Jude, younger brother to Jesus of Nazareth, she decides to follow the Nazarene's group and do whatever she must to mend the fractured relationship and bring her brother home.

Very provoking Angle of the siblings story, and how as a mom Mary could have shared her part with them,

There was no part I didn’t enjoy, well written to spark great imagination of general life for people during the time of Jesus

Wow!!! What an eye opener!!!

Such a wonderful way to weave the story of Jesus together using the people who were closest to him from their point of view! Angela Hunt was inspired to use His brothers and other followers to tell their side of the miraculous 3 years of Jesus ministry.
The Bible has all the names of Jesus brothers in it, but not in a linear fashion and I didn’t ever think of what it must have been like for them ( and us too who never physically saw Him)
Hunt’s incredible skill as a storyteller, rich descriptions of the times and places has brought a much deeper understanding of my faith!
A must read !!!!!!

Spellbinding

What a refreshing, beautiful book demonstrating how events did and might have surrounded the revealing of the Son of God. I never thought about it through the eyes of His brothers. This was a different view of what might have been as Yeshua's half brothers came to recognize who He actually was and IS. I highly recommend this book!

The voices and emotions during the story telling

Voices and emotions made the story more interesting. I love the different male voice from female. Helps take me back and into the story, as if I’m right there. Thank you

Walk with Jesus contemporaries

I felt immersed in the times of Jesus and his disciples. Walking through the countryside from the cities in the Bible gave me a real life feel for the times and people.

Wow!!!! So good

This was so good! I went through the last couple of chapters. Definitely a wonderful story to build your faith and also to kind of view. What happened in the New Testament with Jesus and his family. Just loved it! Wish I could make everybody read it lol :-)

A Journey Through the Past

Angela Hunt does an amazing job of sharing and of reflecting on the historical events surrounding the life of Jesus Christ from the perspective of those around him at that time. Saturated with truth from the Holy Scriptures, both the confusion of the people and the joyful understanding that eventually followed, will lift the readers’ hearts to fully honor Him.

Very interesting

I liked how we got the stories of Jesus teachings and miracles through second hand stories as our ocs tried to catch up with Thomas ans Jesus.
The female voice actor was great but the male voice actor didnt sound right for the time period. His parts took me out of the story. But the female voice narrator was excellent and sounded like I would picture Tasmine.
