About this listen

The epic battle between humankind and their godlike rulers finally ignites in the masterful follow-up to Age of Myth and Age of Swords.

The alliance of humans and renegade Fhrey is fragile — and about to be tested as never before. Persephone keeps the human clans from turning on one another through her iron will and a compassionate heart. The arrogant Fhrey are barely held in check by their leader, Nyphron, who seeks to advance his own nefarious agenda through a loveless marriage that will result in the betrayal of the person Persephone loves most: Raithe, the God Killer.

As the Fhrey overlords marshal their army and sorcerers to crush the rebellion, old loyalties will be challenged while fresh conspiracies will threaten to undo all that Persephone has accomplished. In the darkest hour, when hope is all but lost, new heroes will rise...but at what terrible cost?

Name changes

I love the novel and the story. The plot is awesome. But the change in names really made my skin crawl.

Fake sorrow from the Koenige for Wraith.

I could barely stand to hear all the excuses that the Koenige gave to Wraith for not love him. He was beneath her and the never was a chance. She was no more than a self absorbed aristocrat. She should have said she was not interest and stop leading him on.. What a waist of time spent on the theme.

The story comes together where the humans and the fray join forces against the other pray that come to destroy them

I think the storyline gets a little chatty and we're into battle scenes and there is a lot of detail about the individual that I think should be told before the battle scene not during.. otherwise I like Michael j Sullivan and his storylines instead of quite well I'm very proud of him

Exquisite

Haven't had such a grand time with a book in such a long time. It was a true movie in my mind. I cheered and rejoiced with the characters. I saddened and cried with them as well.I went through a roller coaster of emotions. I grew with the characters. They were made real. Thank you.

Nice but too much LotR copy

This is a nice novel and I like the full cast way of doing an audiobook. Characters are quite well developed and the plot is interesting. But it’s a bit too much Lord of the Rings copy. Dwarves, elves and man fighting an enemy to prevent extermination etc etc. even the Balrog is a copy but with different names

Pronunciation of names are different than the version by single narrator it confused me. Liked the different voices though.

I liked having different voices for the different characters. However, the pronunciation of Mondelay or however it’s spelled, I wrote it like it sounded by the single narrator confused me initially and honestly is my main point. Otherwise,it’s fun. I love Micheal J Sullivan writing and his process, so far and I am now a fan. I will get all the different series to listen to.

don't care for graphic novel version

bought the graphic novel version of this by mistake. the back ground noise brought out of the story regularly.
the story is good, but the graphic part was distracting.
