About this listen

An enemy hidden in the shadows
A crack in the armor of secrecy
One chance to find an answer

Captain David Rice and the crew of Red Falcon have spent two years infiltrating the arms smuggling underworld of the Protectorate of the Mage-King of Mars. When the co-opted rebellion on Ardennes reveals a supply chain of weapons intended to fight Mars, this makes them the perfect team to investigate.

His new mission brings him across old friends and old enemies alike, but as his suspects start turning up dead, David realizes he isn’t the only one following the loose ends.

As shadowy enemies move to position themselves for civil war, Red Falcon’s crew must chase an ever-shrinking set of clues. If they succeed, they might just buy the Protectorate peace for their lifetime.

But if they fail…

Whole plot seemed convenient and predictable

This whole series is a bit of a stretch. Every thing is just to convenient when it needs to be. You have little investment for the characters because you know Lady Luck will always come through. There is no tension, you are simply waiting for the plot to advance. It’s kind of boring which is sad because the main story of this book is quite good.

Agents of Mars or Capt. Rice trouble.

I really enjoy listening to Glynn Stewart's books. He and the narrator made this audio series enjoyable and exciting. Seems that everything that Captain Rice and his crew do in this book results in trouble. Action from cover to cover. Enjoy!!!

A fan of the series, but not the narrator.

I am a fan of the series, all the way back from starship's mage. The narrator is the only problem with this book. Dull monotone and horrible character voices. Like is typical of female narrators, no male voice sounds right. I could deal with that, but this narrator puts no emotion whatsoever in her voice. It's just a dull, female, monotone with poor attempts at male voices.

Read this one, don't listen.

Eh?

it was a good story but I don't think I much care about the red falcon series. I much prefer following stories of Montgomery.
