Publisher's summary

"You hide behind your camera instead of stepping out and engaging life with both hands. You're so afraid you'll fail at something, you won't even try."

For some people, Alaska is a breathtaking wilderness adventure, full of light and beauty. For Haley, it is a dangerous world of dark dreams and tortured memories. On the surface, she's here to document wildlife activist Kipp Nowak's bear encounters. But her real reason is to unearth the truth about a past murder. The suspense mounts when another body turns up, and Haley begins to wonder if the tragedies she experienced in the past are connected to the dangers and mysterious incidents of the present.

From behind her camera, Haley observes it all, including Tank Lassiter, the wildlife biologist who has been forced to lead Kipp and his team into the Alaskan backcountry. As she watches him with his work, she feels a growing attraction. It will take great courage and faith to confront the truth she once ran away from. Before it's over, Haley may be viewing herself from an entirely new angle.

Alaska Twilight is the story of a young woman's emergence from the shadows of past sorrow into the light of forgiveness and grace.

I love This Author

She has amazing characters, and does her homework on each of their jobs, and how they live their lives through out their Christian walk!

Good story line with interesting characters.

I really liked this book and would love to listen to it again narrated by a more professional person. The jerky ‘reading’ was really a distraction from the book! I had to rewind and listen over and over. Sorry Rachel.

Wonderful!

Another great story from Colleen Coble! I loved that she pulled search and rescue in from another one of her stories.

You will love this book!!

I just loved this fast moving mystery/romance. Rachel did an amazing job reading it and playing all of the parts. I loved how the storyline crossed over with another one of favorite titles from Colleen Coble. Can’t wait to read another one!

Author and narrator

The author does a great job at keeping you guessing till the end and the narrator does such a wonderful job that you think there is more than one narrator.

Great book

I really enjoyed this one. The main characters are believable and likable and the story kept me interested.

Overall the narrator was good but some of the voices she used were nasally and annoying. Still it’s a worthwhile read.

Loved the description of bear country in Alaska. Engaging plot.

I really enjoyed the description of Alaskan bear country and the plot was engaging. I found the narration poor…and will be sure to avoid audio books narrated by Rachel Dulude in the future. The narration was very stiff and word emphasis was misplaced.

Struggled with the beginning, but loved the ending

Not sure if it was the narrator or the authors writing that seemed off off pace, stunted, or staccato. That bothered me, and made it hard to follow the story at first, but I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. By the last half, it didn’t matter because I was so into the story and excellent plot.

A sweet and suspenseful story.

If you like bears or are afraid of bears and do enjoy an adventure with a little bit of romance you will enjoy Alaska Twilight.
A young woman with a past that scarred her deeply, and a rejection from those she loved sent Haley to the shrinks. They said, return and face your past. It's the only way for healing. So she and her grandma head to Alaska as part of a film crew that hopes to document bear encounters.
Yes, she meets her past and her fear and they - as well as a couple bears - nearly destroy her.
But there is a gruff and tender widower and his sweet daughter, as well as a newly discovered sister to help her. And they all point her to the God she had forsaken.
Oh, and there is murder, blackmail, kidnapping, and betrayal too. A thoroughly enjoyable book that grabs your interest and doesn't let go.
