Publisher's summary

Angels Flight adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*

Booktrack editions are essentially a new genre of digital storytelling entertainment. Music and ambient audio are added to complement and enhance the audiobook experience. It is a synchronized movie-style soundtrack that complements the narration of existing audiobooks; the tempo and rhythm of the score harmonize with action, dialogue and the characters' emotional arcs.

The New York Times best seller that inspired the new season of hit original drama series BOSCH.

Detective Harry Bosch is on a harrowing journey into a high-profile murder case - and darkness...

An activist attorney is killed in a cute little L.A. trolley called Angels Flight, far from Harry Bosch's Hollywood turf. But the case is so explosive - and the dead man's enemies inside the LAPD are so numerous - that it falls to Harry to solve it. Now the streets are super heating. Harry's year-old Vegas marriage is unraveling. And the hunt for a killer is leading Harry to another high-profile L.A. murder case, one where every cop had a motive. The question is, did any have the guts?

*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Music

The background music ruins the story. I enjoy the books, but this put a rea damper on enjoying the story.

I didn't know John Chastain had it in him

Gotta love Angel's Flight. Michael Harris got his Testi-money. I'm happy for him. but I'm sick over Sheehan. RIP Francis Sheehan

Background music

The background music was distracting and I didn’t care for the forced inflections of the performer, but it was a good story overall.

Can do without the music

I really like the series but am finding the music to be too much, too distracting and overshadowed the reader. The first five books were great. However, I struggled getting through this one because of the background music. I hope the future books don’t have it or I may have to give up this series.

Great story.

Good plot that keeps building the characters. The change of reader was very noticeable from the excellent previous audible books. Story covered as the chapters went on.

Music

The story was fantastic. Kept me on my toes to figure out “who done it”.
I do not like the music behind the narrator. It’s annoying and distracting. I like the guys voice who read it but he was too dramatic for Harry’s voice. Just my opinion. When he did other voices they were great. But so dramatic and kind of “nefarious” for the main character.

Angels flight

This story was great! It one of the Harry Bosh stories. Most of the story takes place in Los Angeles. The story brings in a lot of the famous LA landmarks. The story is riveting.

great story but the narration was not good

another classic Harry Bosch novel. Great story, great buildup, great characters, great writing, classic Connolly. the narrator really was not the right choice for this book. The voice he chose for Bosch seemed very forced in. really didn't work. everything else was great.

Music and Peter Giles=Xcom

The combination of Peter Giles’ epic voice and the heart-thumping music reminds me of X-Com.
“Good luck, Commander.”

I am totally hooked on the Bosch universe.
