About this listen

Half devil and miles from anything resembling heroic, perpetual underdog Frank "Triggaltheron" Trigg is the last man standing against Armageddon. As the favorite nephew of the devil, Frank has led a troubled life, but he'd always had his uncle's influence to fall back on. Now, with God and Lucifer coming to terms and leaving existence to fend for itself, his once exalted status of Antichrist-to-be does little to endear him to the hordes of angels and demons running amok in the godless world.

With help from the members of DRAC, an organization of wizards, psychics, telepaths, and low-end supernatural beings, Frank must thwart the pro-Armageddon forces and rescue an angel in whose life rests the fate of humanity. Better luck next time, humanity.

predictable

The anti hero is not much of a hero. spends most of his time recovering from beat downs and complaining. There again many people loved that whiney Bella in those other books. I will try book 2 to see.

Entertaining

I really like the storyline. Great snarky commentary from the min character. Two main downsides, which for me are major ones. 1) Author needs to learn the proper terminology for firearms. In a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol, a magazine is used to reload the gun, not a “clip,” and the use of “cartridge” refers to individual ammunition (bullet, powder, shell casing and primer), not the magazine. 2) Author needs to work on descriptions of fight scenes to invoke actual combat rather than what seems to be an homage to Japanese manga. Otherwise, decent and enjoyable read.

Great, Could Of Been

MC/Main Character is a 500 yr old half demon who can't die by mundane means. Other then healing fast & most things can't really kill him, he has no powers. MC is an investigator for a good magical group, who fights bad magical types. Set in modern day earth.
To bad he is a bit stupid & weak. The stupid & weak is what lessons this book. He does a stupid thing that gets him into trouble & is to weak to help him self, or can't really get stuff done on his own, so he must rely on others ALL the time !!!
Story is faster paced & simple.
Their is no magic from him & very little from others.
Some action & most of it is him getting beat up.
Quite a bit of hammy some what funny humor.
No romance or sex.
Performance is mostly good, with many different voices & accents.

fun listen

I can't remember who recommended this book, but I owe them. this book was pure fun. it had great characters, lots of action and was just start to finish a great story. the narration was great too. I recommend it especially if you like a more macho mc that comes off as completely credible and realistic. it was hanging with a cool guy who's trying to prevent Armageddon. so much fun. I'm getting the sequel. well worth the credit.

from nest kicker to team antiapocalypse

you see him go from a runner who sends messages and deals between the human mages and demons to becoming a key member in attempting to fight off armageddon because there are no porn mags in oblivion. The don't give two shits nature of the
protagonist and his colorful language as he tries to make the best of the world going to shit as he tires to watch out for his comrades and friends turns this from an ok story about misadventures to a meaningful story because he has people to fight for and a reason to keep fighting. Even when that reason is because he enjoys the screw or the view.

ehhh... time user going across contry.

it will be a cold day in hell before I by any 7hr book, much less his mediocre books... 7 hrs... HA! 3 or 4 for full price and I would do it, it wasn't that bad, even being extremely dated, juvenile and cheesy.

Good performance but...

This story was a bit to old fashioned smarmy sexist in language. It kept throwing me out of the main story, which I wanted to pursue.
