Publisher's summary
Mila Torres is a successful divorce lawyer by day, stand-up comedian by night, and by all accounts—except her mother’s—living a bisexual elder millennial’s dream life in Washington, DC. That is, until she realizes she’s only a year away from hitting the ripe old age of 35, and her doctor suggests at her annual pap smear that maybe she should consider freezing her eggs if she wants kids in the future. Except, she doesn’t want a child in the far future...she wants a child right now.
This poses a bit of a problem, since she’s 10 swipes past single and living Golden Girls style with two of her best friends who work on Capitol Hill and one ornery old cat. That is, until she hears a story from a friend about a free sperm bank online app called Baby Bank. A few margaritas later, and Mila has swiped on more than 50 sperm donors until she finds the perfect match—handsome, successful, brilliant, everything you’d want your sperm to be.
Now, she’s meeting him at a hotel—along with two of her friends for backup—to complete the process. All should have gone smoothly, except when she learns that her sperm donor is the brother of the reporter whom Mila has been dodging for months and that while she originally only wanted this man’s baby, she actually wants his sister too.
In a comedic story of LGBTQIA+ romance and millennial-specific drama, Mila finds that motherhood and dating are not compatible when you keep it all in the family and that the modern millennial woman might not actually be able to have it all. The first in a series of stand-alone lesbian- and queer-themed romance novels coming to e-book, audiobook, and paperback.

I enjoyed listening to this
First I want to thank Sarah Robinson for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.
I don’t normally read this type of book but I wanted to give it a try and go out of my comfort zone. I really enjoyed the narrator. I thought there were some funny bits while Mila was doing her comedy. Aston and Chicky (not sure how that was spelled since I listened to it) were by far my favorite characters.

Fun, sweet and emotional sapphic romance
I loved the synopsis of this story and knew I had to listen to it. “Baby Bank” is a fun, sweet and emotional sapphic book that pulled me in with its great characters and was such a great read.
Mila is a lawyer living in D.C. and after a recent trip to the doctor, has her thinking about her future and if kids are in that future. After thinking about it, she decides yes and goes on the hunt for a sperm donor since she’s going to do it on her own. When one of her friends tells her about an app called Baby Bank, she finds her donor. While doing all of this, she’s being pursued by a reporter named Ari, who wants her help taking down a senator that is trying to pass a bill that is threatening women’s rights. And the two have another connection they weren’t expecting, Ari is the sister of Mila’s sperm donor.
The storyline is full of green flags and makes it even more special. It’s all from Mila’s POV so we get to see her learn and grow as she gets pregnant and realize that she has feelings for Ari. Mila is a pansexual and it’s so great that it had that kind of representation in the book. Hearts not parts. Mila grew so much in the book and I ended up admiring her and what she stood for. She wanted to be a mom and took matters into her own hands to get it done. And also being brave enough to stand up and make sure people knew about that senator. Ari was such a great character and I admired her for who she was as a person. The last few chapters were great and left me with a smile on my face. This is the first book in the series and I hope we get more soon.
Karla Serrato narrates this book and did an amazing job! Solo narrating a bunch of characters can be challenging but I could tell who was who while listening. I never felt lost while listening and enjoyed it so much. This is the first book I’ve listened to narrated by her and I will looking for more.

A Heartwarming Rom-Com with a Twist!
I recently had the pleasure of diving into "Baby Bank" by Sarah Robinson, and I must say, it's a delightful four-star read that ticks all the right boxes for fans of lesbian romance, LGBTQ+ themes, and a healthy dose of humor.
The characters in this novel are a true standout. Mila Torres, our protagonist, is a successful divorce lawyer with a wicked sense of humor. As a bisexual elder millennial, she's relatable and charming, making her journey through love and motherhood both entertaining and heartfelt. The supporting characters, including Mila's Capitol Hill buddies and an ornery cat, add depth and laughter to the mix.
The plot is a rollercoaster of emotions and unexpected turns. Mila's quest for motherhood through the unconventional Baby Bank app provides a fresh and modern take on romance. The blending of LGBTQIA+ themes with millennial-specific drama creates a unique and engaging narrative that kept me hooked from start to finish.
Humor is sprinkled generously throughout the book, courtesy of Mila's stand-up comedy and the quirky situations she finds herself in. Sarah Robinson skillfully weaves humor into the story, making it a joy to read. The comedic elements add a lightness to the narrative without compromising the emotional depth of the characters and their relationships.
The book tackles relevant topics such as parenting, successful women navigating modern challenges, and the complexities of dating in the digital age. The multicultural aspects and LGBTQ+ representation are handled with sensitivity and authenticity, adding richness to the story.
While the story is captivating overall, there were moments when the pacing felt a tad rushed, and some character arcs could have been explored in more depth. Additionally, a few plot twists seemed a bit predictable. However, these are mere quibbles in the grand scheme of the novel's charm.
In conclusion, "Baby Bank" is a must-read for anyone seeking a heartwarming and humorous take on romance, LGBTQ+ relationships, and the challenges of modern motherhood.
Sarah Robinson's witty storytelling and well-crafted characters make this a standout addition to the genre.
I'll definitely be recommending this gem to fellow readers who enjoy a good laugh and a touch of romance!

Way better than expected!!
Baby Bank was my first book by the author and also my first F/F romance. I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. This story was so enjoyable. Mila is an attorney in DC with a passion for stand-up comedy. With no partner in the picture and her biological clock starting to tick, she turns to the Baby Bank app for the donor. When her career life runs head-on into her personal life, things get complicated. I thoroughly enjoyed all the characters and how the pressures of "The Hill" were portrayed.
The narration was fantastic! Again, out of my comfort zone with a single narrator, but Karla Serrato was able to voice ALL the characters with ease. 5 star performance!

Once Choice can change everything
This is one of those stories that further my theory that when you listen to cues from the universe, life starts to fall into place.
Who’d have thought that when Mila (divorce lawyer by day, stand up comedian by night) decided to become a single mom using a sperm donor from a phone app, that she’d find the perfect person to rev her motor (mentally and physically) in the donor’s sister?
Mix in an amazingly supportive found family, some crazy bio-family fun and some work drama that has you weighing the pros/cons of professionally unethical behaviour and it’s quite the fun ride to be taken on.
Karla Serrato did an amazing job with this single POV story. The confusion of never knowing what was going through Ari’s heard and heart until you learn her heartbreakingly complicated history is well worth the journey of self discovery. I think knowing the story sooner might have lessened the impact of Mila’s growth and I really enjoyed that. From laugh out loud moments to irritation, disgust and moments of tenderness or confusion, there were a lot of feels in this performance.
I requested and was provided with an advance copy of the audiobook. These are my honest opinions.

Follow your heart..
This is the 2nd book I read from this author the first being Every last drop which I also loved. These are two very different books but the one commonality is family support. Baby bank was light hearted, humorous and heart warming. I loved the relationship Mia had with her mom and best friends who supported her for a very unconventional way to get pregnant through a baby bank! It also showed a strong women doing what she needed to do to expose someone even if she would lose her job and livelihood and knowing you did the right thing. The only thing I was a bit uncomfortable with and it’s more on me is the intimate scenes between Mia and Ari but again that’s on me. Love between to people is love 💗
