Publisher's summary

A Zograt and Skrog Novel

Zograt was once a puny runt of a grot, but thanks to his brilliant cunning, the blessing of the Bad Moon, and a loyal troggoth, he's now ready to prove himself the greatest Loonboss ever.

Listen to it because

Follow a rags-to-riches story of a weak and weaselly git who now aspires to be seen as the best Loonboss in all the Mortal Realms! Of course, not everyone's going to let him have things his own way...

The story

Born the weakest runt of his Moonclan tribe, Zograt was only ever one beating away from a nasty end...until the Bad Moon bestowed upon him its blessing. Now the Clammy Hand of destiny is upon him and back-stabbing grots scurry to his cause, afraid of the vengeances their new boss will inflict with his powerful spells.

For every underling he suffocates with noxious fungi, Zograt stages a magnanimous gesture, for he is all too aware of his fragile grip on power. Yet in his heart boils an obsession – to become the most formidable, most respected, most fearsome Loonboss there ever was.

Where better to proclaim his new-found majesty than the gloom-shrouded mountain of Muttering Peak? To lay claim to his throne, Zograt must first evade a sinister coven of wizards that wishes to harness the mountain's power for their own dark designs – but with his razor-sharp mind, unpredictable magic, and the loyal troggoth Skrog at his side, Zograt's ambitions may not be so daft, after all...

Proppa Gitz Story

It's a warhamma story so it's a bit peculiar like dat, but it's got a lotta Gitz and a coupla 'umies. Lotsa good storytelling bits, and a fun vibe all da way through. If you's looking for a good Gitz scrap, dis is it.

started slow but was fun by the end

those twist endings get old after awhile. not sure why black library likes to print them again and again. just end a story without a final twist would you please

great VA and a good grot tale

VA did a stellar job for all the grotto, and would highly recommend. The romance between the two wizards and their crumbling relationship was the cherry on top

Such an amazingly told story. Great character development following Zagrot and his rise to power. definitely one of my favorite audiobooks thus far.

Coming From The Underground

A fantastic underdog story where the the gitz become the Bosses, for the BAD MOON.

One Git ta Rool dem all

I absolutely loved this story. It was very engaging and easy to follow, with some fantastic voice work by the reader. I'm starting to collect Gloomspite Gitz and this got me even more excited to play them. I loved how Zagrot went through the heroes journey while the human side created the villain to be defeated. I was cheering on the horrific Goblins and wanted to see them succeed.

Character development on goblins!

Andy Clark had already demonstrated he can weave goblin exhibition in a convincing story, but this time he added some quite interesting character development, both from the Zograt and the human side. Zograt ends up having some virtues goblins don't even have words for, and that means they can only be shown, not told ;).

Harry Myers was amazing and expressive as always - but those goblin voices are hard for a non-native like me ;).
