Publisher's summary

Just back from their honeymoon, Noah and Sarah, and the rest of Team Camelot, are called up for a new mission, but this one is different from anything they've done before. Noah will be infiltrating a domestic organized crime ring in the South, with Sarah as his wife and Neil as her computer nerd little brother. Marco will come in a little later, and it will be up to Noah to find a way to recruit him into the organization.

Things don't always go quite the way we plan, however. Noah must try to identify all of the leaders of the organization so that he can take them all out at once. The problem is that there is so much infighting within the outfit that it's hard to know who is really in charge of whom. Add to this the fact that the CIA mole is now pulling some of Noah's strings, and you've got a prescription for disaster that not even Noah Wolf might be able to turn into a successful mission.

Two storylines, Two CLIFFHANGERS!!!!

Hallelujah! Noah and Sarah finally get married. Can't wait to see where David Archer will go with this story line now. Let's just hope he doesn't make Noah a widow too soon.
So this book has Noah, Sarah and Neil going undercover in the Ozarks to hopefully finally take into custody the head of an organized crime empire responsible for the death of nine previous FBI agents.
In the meanwhile the operative from Jenny's team explains why he betrayed Noah and gave the mole from the previous book Noah's name and contact info. It seems the mole had threatened to kill his family. Now he has Noah in his sights. He wants him to leave E&E and come work for him. But when they finally have a face to face it proves to be quite a shocker! and Noah might be in something he can't get out of. Wow, what a cliffhanger of an ending... unfortunately you can't expect resolution to either storyline in this book.
David Archer has done a great job with this series and has come up with some unique plots distinguishing this from other books in the same genre.
Adam Verner does a great job narrating.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

First half of a great two book novel

Balance of Power, Book 7 in the Noah Wolf series by David Archer, ends in a cliffhanger. The second half of the novel, Book 8 in the series, is titled Time to Hunt and it was released 10 days after Balance of Power. I listened to the two books consecutively since they are one novel.

Listeners to the Noah Wolf series know him as a man incapable of emotion who also does not understand or relate to human emotions. He has now found love, or maybe it's dependency, with his team member Sarah after she was kidnapped in earlier in the series. Near the beginning of Balance of Power they are married and honeymoon at a Mexican beach. Now he is working on saying "I love you" to her.

The Noah Wolf series is about an ultra-secret US espionage agency named E&E led by Allison Peterson located in Colorado. The agency is charged with finding and eliminating "with extreme prejudice" enemies of the US. The group is setup as teams. Noah Wolf's team, the best, is code named Team Camelot. (In an earlier novel in the series Team Cinderella with its beautiful female leader joins Team Camelot in an operation. Team Cinderella's leader is now the girlfriend of Neil who is Team Camelot's computer wizard.) Action in this two book novel occurs entirely within the US and it deals mostly with gang-type criminality in Arkansas as four members of Team Camelot join an FBI agent in working underground within the gang. There is a second very interesting plot line in this novel.

This is a must listen espionage thriller series.

Book 1 of 2???

Enjoyed this series up to #7, A "series" here does not fit unless a credit covers both books.

Half of a book

The story stops half way. The entire purpose of this book is to sell another book. A complete disaster. I am finished with this series only because of this book.
