Written Primarily for Women

I was looking forward to this book, only to find out it's mostly the author complaining that traditional goal setting is aimed at men, and women have been marginalized, ignored, discriminated against, etc., etc. She doesn't just say it once, she keeps coming back to it over and over and over again. If that's what she wants to write about, that's fine, but don't package it as a goal setting book for general audiences.

Still listening

I read a review that says this is female oriented but as I listen the book is trying to give the listener the full story of goal setting, Yes the author mentions females a lot … but it goes towards what I believe is her point … most goal setting styles/platforms use information that is mostly created by and geared towards men and that is only half the information needed when looking at goals and how they work for everyone. Still in the middle of the book but good so far if you can get pass that she talks about and uses sources focusing on the missing portion from women.

What is the point?

This is a random rambling about nothing new book. I admit I gave up in chapter 7. The scientific part never happened and I was tired of waiting.
The author proposed an improved method of setting and working on goals. We get anecdotes of various successful people. No idea if these people worked with the author or not. she does not hesitate to mention here other books and authorship.
Old goal setting was invented by men so it's bad. Now you can skip the introduction and history section. Nothing in the first half has much of anything to do with her GST method.
if there is a study, say a few hundred people used the authors method, others doing smart goals, some just writing them down and the results are... yeah, never happened in two long flights listening to the audio. I gave up.
