Publisher's summary

Billionaire rock star Ian Taylor controls everything in his life...except love. His girlfriend dumped him on New Year’s Eve, and everyone else becomes close to him for his money and fame. His best chance at finding love is to meet a girl who has no idea he’s a rock star.

Quiet, unassuming Megan wants nothing to do with love. Her goal is to finish her last year of college, focused on her studies. Having a boyfriend can wait until after graduation. When they meet in the most unlikely place for romance, Ian’s ready to win Megan’s hesitant heart but not ready to reveal his superstar identity.

Once she learns the truth, Megan finds that she doesn’t fit into Ian’s world of private jets, backstage parties, and star-crazed girls throwing themselves at him. Can Megan see past Ian’s dishonesty and lifestyle? Or will their love song end before it’s begun?

A wonderful story

This story is about two young adults finding their way following God's word. Ian and Meagan fall in love while keeping to their faith. Constantly trying to stay one step ahead of the paparazzi and bloggers makes their courtship trickier than walking through a forest on the dark. The love of their families and friends helps them stay true to themselves as each other.

This narration by Steve Williams bring the story to life. 5 stars for this performance!

Do first impressions really count?

Ian is a billionaire rockstar, the lead performer of Buxton Peak and teen heart-throb. But he's also a Christian, truly to live his faith in the real world.

Megan is a college student who prefers classical music and her studies. She's determined not to date until she's finished with college so that romance won't distract her from her studies.

When a chance meeting in church brings Ian and Megan together, he's relieved to meet someone who can appreciate him only as "Ian," not as a celebrity. He can hardly imagine his great luck!

Yet, as their romance deepens, withholding his true identity from Megan becomes more problematic than helpful. Can their love survive the truth? Or will Megan's trust be completely broken along with her heart?

You'll have to listen to Billionaire Rock Star to find out.

And kudos to Steve Wiliams for managing to keep all those voices and accents distinct! Well done!

Billionaire Rockstar Romance

This is an extra-cute, clean romance with a perfect bonus honeymoon chapter added on. It has a bit of a morality vein, as well as the “Reason” for it. But it still includes passion and deep feelings. I liked it a lot!

My first but not my last Buxton Peak Romance

Can Megan see past Ian’s dishonesty and lifestyle? Or will their love song end before it’s begun?

MY TAKE
This was the first Buxton Peak book I've read, but it won't be my last. I enjoyed the characters. I listened to the audiobook, and Steve Williams did a terrific job with the accents. It does stretch it little in the beginning with Ian's insta-love, but since they took the time to get to know each other later, I was okay with it.

I really felt for Mega. To find out that this guy she's been getting to know online lives such an insane life in the media would be really hard. Talk about living in a fishbowl.

Clean, Christian Romance

If you like clean romances and are a person of faith, read this book! I found the characters to be appealing and appreciated the fun, new story line. (A successful rockstar who goes to church every week and is saving himself for marriage?! How refreshing!) I finished the audiobook a few days ago and find myself wondering about the rest of the Buxton Peak stories. I plan to check them out and think you will want to, too!

Replaces Buxton Peak Book One. I love it!

I may be a little biased but I absolutely love this book! I love Ian Taylor and I love Megan and I love how this transitions seamlessly into Buxton Peak Book Two. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

romance

I think this is written for a younger audience and I'm old so I'll rate it based on what I think younger kids would think. It is an escapist, Cinderella story of the average person meeting the prince charming, in this case a rock star, and falling in love. Ian was lovable and very accepting of other people. He is physically and verbally demonstrative and I think he is dealing with the rock star life style quite well. He is surrounded by people who are good friends but live a very different moral life style than his own choices. He makes sure that his tour schedule works around him being able to attend church every week. And he is very tolerant of their choices. Not quite sure how I feel about that. He may have been overly tolerant. (Were they touring in areas where pot is legal?)
Megan is oblivious to him being a rock star for so long it almost seems unbelievable but I'm quite sure that I wouldn't recognize most rock stars if I saw them on the street so maybe it is believable after all. I'm not sure that I would have made the choice Megan made because I wouldn't have dealt well with it but I hope it all works out well for her.

In terms of content I'm a little conflicted. It is clean in that there is no sex on the page but there is a good deal of innuendo as well as the reader being aware that the secondary characters are sleeping around. There is a good deal of discussion about choices to wait until marriage or not and the difficulty of waiting. There is also drug and alcohol use among the secondary characters. Religion enters in to the story multiple times. They pray, attend church and make moral choices based on their religious beliefs.

I listened to this by audio book and thought the narrator, Steve Williams, did a good job. He did a nice job switching between British and American accents and managed to make Ian sound very playful in personality while Megan was far more serious in nature.

Sex: Secondary characters off page, passionate kisses, innuendo
Language: no
Violence: no

a fun entertaining romance

An enjoyable well written rock star romance. This engaging storyline includes love, music, drama, fun banter, and sweet texts. The characters are interesting, and have great chemistry with amazing sexual build up and are playful in this intriguing clean story. I really enjoyed listening to this incredible story. Steve did a fantastic job displaying the playful and seriousness of the characters personalities and perfect job switching between British and American accents. A great story to listen and enjoy for hours of entertainment.
